Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an arrangement for electric cleaner, in which a fan is provided at an upper portion in a dust collecting chamber to compress dust collected in the chamber by the wind pressure acted when said fan is set into operation, whereby it is enabled to compact a large amount of dust collected in the dust collecting chamber in efficient and simple manner.
CONSTITUTION: A fan 15 connected to a small motor 14 is provided at an upper portion in dust collecting chamber 7 in the manner that it depends downward, and by the side of said fan 15, there is provided a suction port 18 for introuducing dust compressing air, which is opened and closed by a slidable changeover valve 17. Further, at a lower portion of filter 9, 8, there is provided an outlet port 19 for releasing dust compressing air, which is closed by a check valve 20 that is biased toward the suction side. In the above arrangement, when suction port 18 is opened by sliding valve 17 and movable contact comes into engagement with contact 24, small motor 14 is set into operation and fan 15 starts rotation, whereby dust collected in chamber 7 is compressed successively at the bottom of chamber 7 by the wind pressure of fan 15. When the port 18 is closed by sliding the valve 17 in the opposite direction and movable contact 22 comes into engagement with contact 23, on the other hand, cleaning operation is carried out by the cleaner.
