Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an arrangement for electric cleaner, in which an idle fan driven an electrically driven fan is provided in a dust collecting chamber in front of the suction surface of filter, so as to compress dust collected in the dust collecting chamber uniformly by use of the centrifugal force of said idle fan.
CONSTITUTION: A filter frame 10 having filter element 9 on the inside and a primary net-like filter 12 at the front surface is provided in dust collecting chamber 8 of dust collecting case 6. Idle fan 13 turned by the air stream caused by the rotation of electrically driven fan 2 has its shaft 14 at the central portion of said filter frame 10, coaxially with the axis of suction port 5. When fan 2 is set into operation, dust containing air is drawn from port 5, passed through filter 12, 9, and discharged from outlet ports 4, whereas dust is colleted in dust collecting chamber 8. Under such circumstances, fan 13 is caused to turn by the air stream caused by fan 2, so that dust in chamber 8 is compressed successively by the centrifugal force of wind caused by fan 13. Dust attached to filter 12, on the other hand, is off by brush 16 of dust removing means.
