Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain the safety of reactor operation, by means of allowing the detection of the state and the position of a fuel assembly to be effected in a wide range by one combination of a rotable ultra-sonic wave transmitter receiver and a mounting angle free reflector.
CONSTITUTION: A driving part 22 of an ultra-sonic wave perspective device is set up on a shielding plug 2, and is connected to a holding tube 10 having an ultrasonic wave transmitter receiver 11a, 11b within a guide tube 8 hanged under the liquid surface of ccolant. The mechanism is prevented from the exposure to Sodium by means of allowing the operation of the transmitter receiver to be absorbed by mounting bellows seals 13a,13b between the transmitter receiver 11a, 11b and the holding tube 10. A reflector is arranged facing to the transmitter receiver 11a. 11b. The transmitter receiver 11a,11b is positioned by the driving part 22, and then, the recognition of the separation of the control rod and the state of the reactor can be detected by the reflecting wave from the reflector 12, by means of effecting the horizontal movement which scans the whole surface of the core top part and the up and down movement which covers the space between a mechanism 4 of the reactor upper part and the core 3.
