PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance and coating adherence of an alloyed zinc plated steel sheet by treating the sheet with an etching chromate soln. so that a specified amt. of Cr is attached and then applying an aq. soln. of an org. polymer contg. hexavalent or hexa-and trivalent Cr so that a specified amt. of Cr is attached.
