Abstract
PURPOSE:To make uniform the mechanical properties of the steel pipe and to prevent the strain, by reducing the temperature difference between the inner and outer surface of the steel pipe to the direction of thickness of the pipe by the use of the electric current of intermediate frequency of 70 - 500 Hz, when the steel pipe of large diameter having the thickness of 6.4 - 40 mm and the diameter of 16 - 64 inches (406 - 1625 mm) being in great demand, is heat treated by the induction heating.
