Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ベース(12)を有する外枠体と、再循環させられるエンジン排気ガスの前記ベ ース(12)への進入口である入口(30)と、前記ベースを貫通して延び、前記入口(3 0)に進入したエンジン排気ガスを搬送する通路(28)と、前記通路(28)を通過した エンジン排気ガスの前記ベース(12)からの退出口である出口(32)と、仮想軸線と 同心の前記通路(28)内に設けられた環状の弁座(34)と、前記外枠体内に配置され 、前記軸線に沿って選択的に位置決めするピントル(38)からなり、前記ピントル (38)はシャフト(42)と該シャフト(42)の端部に設けられると共に前記弁座(34)と 協働して前記軸線に沿う前記ピントル(38)の位置に応じて前記通路(28)の流量を 選択的に設定する頭部(44)とからなり、作動手段(60)が前記軸線に沿って前記ピ ントル(38)を選択的に位置決めすることで前記弁座(34)に対して前記頭部を選択 的に位置決めし、前記ピントルの頭部(44)と前記弁座(34)とは、前記作動手段(60) によって前記ピントル(38)が閉位置に移動すると相互に閉鎖するとともに前記作 動手段(60)によって前記ピントル(38)が選択された開位置に移動すると分離して 前記通路(28)を通る流れを可能にする各テーパ面(104;36c)を有し、前記ピント ルの頭部(44)は、前記ピントルのシャフト(42)に対して前記各テーパ面(104;36c )を軸方向に越えて離れて位置する端面(107)と、前記各テーパ面が相互に閉じた 時に前記ピントルの頭部端面(107)から前記各テーパ面(104;36c)を少なくとも軸 方向に越えて延びることにより前記ピントル頭部に前記軸線周りにスカート状壁 部を提供する中央盲孔(108)とからなる、内燃機関の排気ガス再循環(EGR)弁(10) において、前記弁座(34)は、該弁座のテーパ面(36c)の軸方向直ぐ内方に円筒面( 36b)を有し、前記ピントルの頭部(44)は、該ピントルが閉位置になると前記弁座 のテーパ面に当接して閉鎖する前記ピントル頭部のテーパ面(104)の軸方向直ぐ 内方にある別のテーパ面(102)を有することを特徴とする、内燃機関の排気ガス 再循環(EGR)弁(10)。 2.前記弁座(34)は更に、該弁座の円筒面(36b)の軸方向直ぐ内方の別のテーパ 面(36a)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の EGR弁。 3.前記弁座の別のテーパ面(36a)は、前記盲孔(108)の軸方向内方への延長部を 越えて軸方向内方に延びることを特徴とする、請求項2記載の EGR弁。 4.前記盲孔(108)は多角形面(112)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1,2ま たは3記載の EGR弁。 5.前記盲孔(108)は更に、前記多角形面(112)の軸方向内方に円筒面(114)を有す ることを特徴とする、請求項4記載の EGR弁。 6.前記盲孔(108)は更に、前記円筒面(114)の軸方向内方に円錐形状面(116)を 有することを特徴とする、請求項5記載の EGR弁。 7.前記盲孔(108)は更に、軸方向において前記ピントルの頭部端面(107)と前記 多角形面(112)との間に面取り部(110)を有することを特徴とする、請求項6記載 の EGR弁。 8.前記多角形面(112)は六角形である、請求項4,5,6または7記載の EGR 弁。 9.前記各テーパ面(104;36c)が相互に閉じると、前記多角形面(112)がそれら各 テーパ面を越えて軸方向内方に延びることを特徴とする、請求項4から8記載の EGR弁。 10.前記作動手段(60)が電気式アクチュエータからなることを特徴とする、前 出請求項記載の EGR弁。
