能である。The present invention relates to the improvement of bonded fabrics, particularly fabrics that are not limited to use only in the manufacture of garments. In the manufacture of garments such as jackets, several layers of materials together give the jacket good "shape" and "feel". The jacket can have five layers in places. The outer lining; the chest canvas and the felt (all known as "comfort"); and the inner lining. These layers must be sewn together and the fabric must be held together so that it can be sewn to other parts of the jacket. Usually, at least some of the layers, especially the outer garment and one or more comforts, are permanently bonded or "fused" by an adhesive added in between. However, the fused comfort may subsequently peel off unevenly, and when washed, various shrinkages may occur, especially after multiple washes. Such delamination is undesirable because such non-uniformity affects the shape of the outer garment. Attempts have been made to create a temporary bonding interlining, a laminating comfort that can be peeled off after a sewing operation. Releasing comfort gives the garment the look and feel of a tailor-made garment, and can create the soft touch that the wearer desires. Moreover, the frequency of washing does not matter. Initial bonding is still necessary so that the fabric can be sewn directly and easily, sewn to other layers and / or to other parts of the jacket. U.S. Pat. No. 3,333,280 to Hynek et al. And U.S. Pat. No. 4,333,980 to Russell describe a small amount of discontinuous polyvinyl acetate (pva) as a temporary adhesive for shirt collars and cuffs that can be removed by dry cleaning and / or rinsing of clothing. ) Discloses the use of copolymers. However, we have repeated the disclosure of these patent specifications and have not been able to reproduce the invention. Although pva copolymers are known to be unsuitable or incapable of completely stripping a layer of garment cloth that is often dry cleaned rather than washed with normal water, this is the case with conventional dry cleaning solvents (eg, This is because it hardly dissolves in perchlorethylene). The pva copolymer is not removed by steam and does not dissipate. Thus, the pva copolymer is not completely removed from the garment and may continue to provide some (unwanted) adhesive action, or the layers may reattach. Pressing on such fabrics can result in undesirable and uneven redeposition of the layers. It is an object of the present invention to obviate or mitigate these disadvantages. According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a fabric having thereon an adhesive coating adapted to provide a temporary bond to one or more other fabrics, wherein the adhesive is completely immersed in a dry cleaning solvent, water or steam. Alternatively, a fabric is provided that is substantially soluble or dissipative. In another embodiment of the present invention, the adhesive used in the present invention is soluble in dry cleaning solvents and can be removed by dry cleaning, preferably by one dry cleaning. Such adhesives can be easily removed from the dry cleaning solvent, and little or no residue remains. Any solvent or other polymeric material that is substantially or completely soluble in the dry cleaning solvent can also be used in this embodiment. Suitable adhesives include ethylene vinyl acetate (eva) copolymer (melt flow index 0.2-3000 g / 10 min), polystyrene, acetonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), indene, cumarone, cumarone-indene copolymer, polyvinyl formal, polyvinyl butyrate Lal, polyvinyl ether and polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone-acetate copolymer, acrylic resin and polyacrylonitrile, polycaprolactam, polycaprolactone (molecular weight 25,000-80,000), polyester, natural and synthetic polyurethane, polysilane, ketone, shellac, rosin derivative and polyterpene. Include. Preferred adhesives for this embodiment are polystyrene, ABS, polyvinyl polymer, eva copolymer, polycaprolactone, ketone, shellac, rosin derivatives and polyterpenes. More preferably, the adhesive is either an eva copolymer or a polycaprolactone. Solvents used for dry cleaning are usually per (or tetra) chloroethylene (PERC), trichlorethylene and white spirit. Some fluorinated and other hydrocarbon solvents are also used. The most common solvent in Europe is PERC. The adhesive can be almost or completely removed by standard dry cleaning, and the dry cleaning solvent is preferred because it can be easily recycled, for example, by distillation. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the adhesive can be removed by rinsing the cloth because it is water soluble. Any adhesive or other polymeric substance that is substantially or completely water-soluble can be used in this context. As used herein, the term "water" is any water used to wash garments, optionally including one or more commonly used additives. Adhesives used in this embodiment include those listed above that are known to be substantially or completely soluble in water. Preferred adhesives in this regard are polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinylpyrrolidone-acetate copolymer. An increasing number of people wash their clothes with water because dry cleaning is decreasing for environmental reasons. In a third embodiment of the invention, the adhesive can be dissipated by steam. Since most garments are steam pressed during the "press-off" phase of their manufacture, peeling off the temporary bond in this manner does not require any additional steps or equipment in the manufacturing process. The adhesive or other polymeric material of this third embodiment may be any of the adhesives listed above which are known to be dissipable by steam. Preferably, the adhesive is a resin / wax mixture, more preferably a mixture of ethylene vinyl acetate (eva) copolymer resin and either eva or paraffin wax or a combination thereof. The mixture of eva copolymer resin and wax can be from 20: 80% polymer / wax to 80: 20% polymer / wax, depending on the melt flow index of the selected eva polymer. When wax is blended with the resin, the viscosity of the resin is reduced, and when steam is applied to the blend, the blend becomes more fluid and is carried into the cloth. The above-described various embodiments are necessary because the raw materials for fabric production and the purpose of use are different. Some cloths can only be dry-cleaned, while others can only be washed with water or the like (for example, because they shrink in some solvents). The amount of adhesive used in the present invention for coating substantially corresponds to the amount of adhesive used to obtain permanent adhesion in prior art multilayer fabrics. For comfortable fabric used for the jacket of manufacture, the amount of adhesive is 5 to 15 g / m 2, preferably from a 5 to 10 g / m 2. Usually, an effective minimum required amount of adhesive is used. The adhesive may be applied to the fabric in any suitable manner. Suitable methods of application include glues, dispersions, dispersion coats, hot melts and powder point printing or dry powder engraving. If necessary or desired, the adhesive is coated on the fabric, but needs to be "activated" before it can be bonded to other fabrics. Such activation includes heat treatment, for example, hot pressing. The fabric of the present invention can be used for any suitable purpose, including the manufacture of other fabrics and / or garments. The fabric is particularly suitable for use in the manufacture of garments, in particular in the manufacture of multilayer garments, such as suits and jackets, in which some or all of the comfort is similarly coated and glued. The fabric may be adhered to other parts or layers of the garment before sewing and then peeled off by dry cleaning, washing or steaming. The garment may be cleaned or washed prior to merchandise. Alternatively, the adhesive may be removed by the purchaser during the first dry cleaning or cleaning of the garment. Any number of layers of the fabric of the present invention can be grouped together as described above. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the fabric is an interlining, more preferably a hair cloth. According to a second aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of temporarily bonding two or more layers of fabric, wherein the layers are bonded by applying an adhesive therebetween, said adhesive comprising a dry cleaning solvent, water Or completely or substantially soluble or dissipative in steam. According to a third embodiment of the present invention there is provided an adhesive for use in the manufacture of a laminated fabric adapted to be temporarily bonded to one or more other fabrics, wherein the adhesive is completely dissolved in a dry cleaning solvent. Or it is substantially soluble. Preferably, the adhesive is an eva copolymer or polycaprolactone. In yet another aspect of the present invention, there is provided an adhesive for use in the manufacture of a laminated fabric adapted to be temporarily bonded to one or more other fabrics, wherein the adhesive is completely or substantially provided by steam. Dissipation is possible. Preferably, the adhesive is a mixture of an eva copolymer resin and either an eva wax or a paraffin wax or a combination of these waxes. In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a multi-layer garment in which two or more layers of the garment are pre-bonded or glued with the adhesive described above. The present invention also extends to a method of making a multi-layer garment as defined above, wherein at least two, if not all, of the layers are pre-bonded as described herein. As used herein, the term “fabric” includes any woven or nonwoven fabric. The present invention will be described below by way of embodiments. Example 1 Polycaprolactone is used as an adhesive. It is applied to one side of a roll of haircloth using a dry powder engraving method for use as a chest canvas for the jacket. Polycaprolactone is applied in an amount of 10 g / m 2 . The hair cloth and outer garment material are then cut into the required shape for the jacket and pre-bonded together by feeding the fabric through a hot press to activate the adhesive. The fabrics are then sewn, or simultaneously or subsequently to another layer of the jacket that is similarly adhered. If necessary or desired, the jacket can then be dry cleaned using, for example, PERC as a solvent. Since polycaprolactone is soluble in PERC, caprolactone is removed during the dry cleaning operation, and the hair cloth and outer garment are completely separated except for the stitched parts. The jacket now has the look and feel of tailor-made clothing and is not affected by dry cleaning. The same can be applied to all layers of the jacket. The adhesive is removed from the dry cleaning solvent by distillation, and the dry cleaning solvent is reused. Example 2 In this example, the adhesive is dissipated by steam. The adhesive is a combination or blend of a synthetic polymer resin and a wax. Ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers having a vinyl acetate content of 8-40% and a melt flow index of 0.2-3000 g / 10 min have been found to be suitable polymer resins. Such resins are compatible with a wide range of waxes, especially eva waxes with a melting point of 70-120 ° C, and paraffin waxes with a melting point of 50-70 ° C. The formulation was placed in printed dispersion or continuous form on an interlined base fabric. The interlining was placed facing the outer garment and both were heated to 60-80 ° C with pressure. Heat and pressure caused the composition to flow and fuse, resulting in adhesion between the materials. The bond was strong enough to continue the garment tailoring operation without causing material delamination. The final "press finishing" stage of garment production was the steam press process. By applying steam and its pressure at a temperature above 100 ° C., the resin / wax formulation rapidly reduced in viscosity and dissipated into the material. This dissipating or "carrying" action destroyed the resulting bond and did not leave the formulation in the bond line between the materials. Changes and modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention described above.
