Abstract

Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.粒子を含んでいない無毒で無臭無色のガスを発生させる全火工方法であって 、出口ポートを備えた密閉室を準備し、硝酸アンモニウム及び硝酸アミノグアニ ジンと硝酸グアニジンのうち少なくとも一方を含む共融混合物固溶体を唯一のガ ス源として密閉室内に配置し、密閉室が突然の減速作用を受けたことが検出され ると、推進剤としての共融混合物固溶体に点火する手段として、発生剤としての 共融混合物固溶体を提供し、それによりガスを即座に発生させて密閉室の出口ポ ートを通って導くことを特徴とする方法。 2.少なくとも一つのエアバッグを装備した自動車内で実施され、発生し、出口 ポートを通って導かれたガスは、しかる後、エアバッグに流入し、それによりエ アバッグは即座に膨れることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3.推進剤としての共融混合物固溶体は、少量の硝酸カリウムを更に含むことを 特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。 4.硝酸カリウムは、約1〜約2重量%〜の範囲で存在することを特徴とする請 求項3記載の方法。 5.推進剤としての共融混合物固溶体は、温度のサイクル動作を受けても耐亀裂 性のあるプレス成形ペレットの形態で設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4 記載の方法。 6.ガスを即座に発生させる方法において、推進剤組成物が室内に配置され、突 然の減速状態の検出に応答して推進剤組成物に点火する手段が設けられており、 点火剤は、硝酸アンモニウム及び硝酸アミノグアニジンと硝酸グアニジンのうち 少なくとも一方を含み、さらに任意的に少量の硝酸カリウムが加えられた共融混 合物溶体から成ることを特徴とする方法。
