する。糸状素子４は、透明なプラスチック材料で被覆さ
れており、この糸状素子４により発せられる光信号が、
潜水中に見えるようになる。糸状素子４は、任意の形の
記号５または数字７とすることができる。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、潜水着またはバラ
ンシングジャケット（以下ジャケットと略称する）に付
けられ、潜水中に他のダイバーが検出、認識することが
容易な警告装置兼標識灯に関する。
【０００２】本発明は、透明なプラスチック被覆内に収
容された半導体の糸状素子（例えば直径１ないし２ｍ
ｍ）に電流を供給する電源を基本的に包含する警告装置
兼警告灯をもくろむものである。この糸状素子は、電場
発光半導体材料、即ち電流が流されこれで励起されると
発光する特性を有する半導体材料からなる。この糸状素
子は、これによって発せられる光信号が見えるように透
明なプラスチック材料で被覆されている。
【０００３】このように被覆された糸状素子は、潜水着
またはジャケットに縫いつけられるか、またはその他の
手段によって取り付けられ、例えば１個の電池のような
電流供給用電源に接続されている。警告装置兼標識灯に
設けたスイッチを入れることにより、このスキューバダ
イバーは、自分が困難に遭遇している場合とか、また
は、いずれにしても潜水中の他のダイバーに自分自身を
見えるようにしたい場合には、光信号を送ることができ
る。この警告灯はまた、スキューバダイビングのインス
トラクターが、潜水中に生徒の一団を個別に認識して付
き添おうとする場合にも有用である。潜水着またはジャ
ケットに取り付けたこの被覆された糸状素子は、例えば
記号（文字）または数字のような、事実上任意の形のも
のとして、このような文字または数字を付けているダイ
バーを識別することを可能とする。

【発明の実施の形態】本発明は、添付図面を参照してな
される以下の記述から、よりよく理解されよう。
【０００５】図１に示す本発明の第１の実施例によれ
ば、警告装置兼標識灯は、スキューバダイバーのバラン
シングジャケット１に取り付けられるか縫い付けられて
いる。この警告装置兼標識灯は、電流を供給する電池２
と、警告灯の回路のスイッチ３と、透明なプラスチック
材料で被覆された半導体材料からなる糸状素子４（例え
ば直径１または２ｍｍのもの）とを基本的に包含してい
る。ダイバーが困難に遭遇している場合とか、または水
中の他のダイバーに自分自身を見えるようにしたい場合
には、電流を供給するスイッチ３を入れるだけでよい。
このような方法で、電流が被覆された糸状素子４に供給
され、半導体材料でできた糸状素子４は、電流で励起さ
れると発光する特性を有する。この糸状素子４は透明な
プラスチック材料で被覆されているので、糸状素子４に
よって発せられる光信号を他のダイバーが検出すること
ができる。図から分かるように、本発明のこの実施例で
は、糸状素子は、例えば記号（文字）５の形とされてお
り、このスキューバダイバーが誰であるかを認識させる
ことを可能としている。
【０００６】図２は、本発明の更なる例となる他の実施
形態による警告装置兼標識灯を示している。この実施例
は、例えば呼吸装置を用いないで、従ってバランシング
ジャケットを使用しないで行う潜水の場合に、潜水着６
に直接取り付けるか縫いつけたものである。図から分か
るように、警告装置兼標識灯は、図１で上述したものと
同じ素子で作られているが、この場合には、半導体材料
からなる透明なプラスチック材料で被覆された糸状素子
４は、例えば数字７の形とされている。
【０００７】図１では、本発明の警告装置兼標識灯は、
ジャケット１の前部に取り付けられているが、図２で
は、潜水着６の背中に取り付けられている。しかし、こ
のような警告装置兼標識灯は、任意の好適な場所に用い
てよいことを理解されたい。
【０００８】さらに、図では全く例示のために略示して
いるだけの電池２及びスイッチ３は、任意の好適な位置
に収容され得ることを理解されたい。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 潜水着やスキューババランシングジャケ
    ットのような水中ダイバーガーメントに用いる標識灯装
    置において、電流が流れると光信号を発する糸状素子
    と、該糸状素子に電流を供給する電池と、該電池を前記
    糸状素子に電気的に接続する回路と、該回路に設けられ
    前記電池から前記糸状素子への電流の流れを制御するス
    イッチ手段とを包含し、前記糸状素子は、透明なプラス
    チック材料で被覆されており、前記糸状素子により発せ
    られる光信号が、潜水中に見えるようになることを可能
    とする標識灯装置。
  2. 【請求項２】 請求項１記載の標識灯装置において、前
    記糸状素子が、記号または数字のような任意の形とする
    ことができる標識灯装置。
  3. 【請求項３】 請求項１記載の標識灯装置において、前
    記糸状素子が、前記水中ダイバーガーメントに直接取り
    付けられるかまたは縫いつけられる、透明なプラスチッ
    ク材料で被覆された半導体材料からなる信号灯装置。
