Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase intake efficiency of traveling wind by forming a translot which gradually becomes deeper from the center part toward left and right side ends on the front lens of a headlight and linking the side end of the translot with the center side wall surface of an air introduction port provided on the left and right sides of the headlight of a cowling. SOLUTION: A front surface lens 5 of a headlight 4 is mounted on a window hole 3 at the center of the upper front surface of a cowling 2 covering the front part of a car body so as to be peeled. On this front surface lens 5, a translot 6 which gradually becomes deeper from the center part toward left and right side ends is formed. On the left and right sides of the headlight 4 of the cowling 2, an air introduction port 8 is formed by recessing a wall surface 7 to the rear side and the wall surface 7 on the center side is linked with the translot 6. Thus, traveling wind of high dynamic pressure that the center part of the cowling 2 receives is received by the air introduction port 8 through the translot 6 of the front surface lens 5 of the headlight 4 and intake air of an engine is supercharged. Therefore, traveling wind can be efficiently used for supercharging.

2. Description of the Related Art In a motorcycle, a streamlined cowling whose both outer sides are curved rearward covers a front portion of a vehicle body so as to reduce wind resistance during traveling. As shown in FIG. 5, a headlamp B is mounted on the cowling at the upper center of an upper cowl A, which is an upper part of the cowling, and air inlets C are provided at both outer portions of the headlamp B. There is a type used to receive air from a vehicle during traveling to supercharge the intake air of the engine (supercharging of traveling wind), or to introduce cooling air.

However, the dynamic pressure of the wind received during traveling is highest at the center of the upper cowl A received directly in front of the vehicle, and becomes lower toward the outside that is curved rearward. Therefore, in FIG. 5, the air intake C is located at a location close to the outside, and the intake efficiency is not good. On the other hand, the traveling dynamic pressure increases near the center in the vehicle width direction,
In the thing of FIG. 6, although the air inlet C is in the center of the upper cowl A and can take in the wind with high dynamic pressure,
The oblong flat shape reduces the intake area. The larger the air intake C, the higher the position of the headlamp B, and accordingly, the higher the position of meters D such as a speedometer mounted above the headlamp B,
The meters D protrude greatly inside the transparent screen E connected to the upper side of the upper cowl A, and the condition becomes worse. In addition, the height of the headlamp B is narrowed by the air intake C and the meters D, so that an ideal reflector shape cannot be obtained, and conversely, the air intake C becomes narrow vertically.

を目的とする。
[0005] In view of the above, the present invention enables the traveling wind to be taken in from a place where the dynamic pressure is high near the center of the cowling, so that the traveling wind is efficiently taken in and the position of the headlamp is also improved. It is an object of the invention to obtain a motorcycle wind intake device that is not too high and does not protrude upward.

In order to achieve the above object, a running wind intake device for a motorcycle according to the present invention has a headlamp attached to a center of an upper front surface of a cowling covering a front portion of a vehicle body, and a front lens of the headlamp. A lateral groove that gradually becomes deeper from the center toward the left and right ends is formed, and the lateral end of the lateral groove is connected to the central side wall surface of the air inlet provided on the left and right sides of the headlamp of the cowling.

[0007] Since a high dynamic pressure portion of the wind received during traveling at the center of the cowling is guided to the lateral groove of the front lens of the headlamp and flows to the air inlet, the efficiency of taking in the traveling wind can be increased. The headlamp can be mounted so that the mounting position on the cowling is less restricted and the meter position is not too high.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention.
This will be described with reference to FIGS. Since the entire configuration of the motorcycle is applicable to the motorcycle shown in FIG. 5, illustration of the overall configuration of the motorcycle is omitted. In a motorcycle, a front lens 5 of a headlamp 4 is attached to a window hole 3 at a center of an upper front surface of a cowling 2 covering a front portion of a vehicle body 1. The front lens 5 of the headlamp 4 is formed with a lateral groove 6 that gradually becomes deeper from the center toward the left and right ends.
On the left and right sides of the headlamp 4 of the cowling 2, a wall 7
Then, the air inlet 8 is formed, and the wall 7 on the center side is formed in the lateral groove 6 formed in the front lens 5 of the headlamp 4.
To be linked to The air inlet 8 is an inlet tube 9 passing near the front steering 13 and is connected to the engine 1.
4 is connected to an air cleaner 10 for filtering the intake air. At the upper end of the cowling 2, a transparent screen 11 that is continuous with the cowling 2 is mounted, and above the headlamp 4, a meter 12 is mounted rearward.

The traveling wind of high dynamic pressure received by the central portion of the cowling 2 passes through the lateral groove 6 of the front lens 5 of the headlamp 4 and is received by the air inlet 8. Then, the air enters the air cleaner 10 through the introduction tube 9, and supercharges the intake air of the engine. Thus, the traveling wind can be efficiently used for supercharging.

The mounting position of 2 can also be made not too high. A lateral groove 6 is provided in the front lens 5 of the headlamp 4, and the light distribution of the headlamp 4 can be adjusted by cutting the inner surface of the front lens 5. In addition, the orientation can be prevented from causing a problem even when the angle of the broken surface of the character line around the lateral groove 6 is set to R15 or more.

As described above, since the present invention is constructed as described above, the lateral wind formed in the front lens of the headlamp provided at the center of the front of the cowling allows the traveling wind having a high dynamic pressure near the center to be produced in the lateral groove. Can be received through the air inlets provided on the left and right sides of the headlamp,
The traveling wind can be received efficiently. Also, the mounting position does not become high while the size of the headlamp is sufficiently secured, and the mounting position of the meter mounted above the headlamp does not become too high. Further, the change of the light distribution due to the lateral groove formed in the front lens of the headlamp may be adjusted by cutting the inner surface of the front lens.
