花にはアントシアニン、チアニジン、茎葉にはケンフェ
ロール、クエルセチン等を含み、種子にはパリナリシン
脂肪酸、脂肪油、、エルゴステロールを含むことが知ら
れている。鳳仙花を開花期に採取し、これを2〜5日間
蔭干ししても良い。裁断された全草と花弁は、アルコー
ル度10度以上のアルコール含有水溶液に浸漬する。本
発明で使用するアルコールは、鳳仙花全草の有効成分を
抽出するためには、10度以上のエチアルコール含有水
溶液とすることが好適であるが、その他蒸留酒、醸造
酒、混成酒、合成酒、ホワイトリカー(焼酎)等を用い
ても良い。尚、用途によって10度以上のメチルアルコ
ール含有水溶液、イソプロピルアルコール含有水溶液を
利用することも出来る。その配合比は、ホワイトリカー
10重量部に対して、2〜5重量部が望ましい。2週間
ないし半年間浸漬するが、半月ないし1ヵ月間浸漬する
のが好適である。浸漬後、残査をドライメッシュ法など
の手段により分離して鳳仙花アルコール抽出液を得る。
先に述べたように、この鳳仙花アルコール抽出液はナフ
トキノン誘導体(ビタミンK様作用)、ケンフェロール
(ナフトキノンの前駆体物質)、フラボノイド、エルゴ
ステロール(ビタミンDの前駆体物質)などを主成分
とした溶液である。その後、本発明者は研究を続け分析
をした結果、鳳仙花アルコール抽出液には、NMF(n

質を持つ。血液の浄化と血管の拡張作用、生化学的還元
作用、解毒作用、殺菌作用、脱塩素作用、酵素的蛋白質
分解作用である。特に、上記の中で、皮膚保護剤を化粧
品として有効に利用される作用は、血管の拡張作用、生
化学的還元作用、殺菌作用、酵素的蛋白分解作用であ
る。鳳仙花アルコール抽出液を皮膚保護剤として単独で
利用しても良いが、他の化粧品や入浴剤の中に混ぜるこ
とによって、より強く効果を出すことができる。鳳仙花
アルコール抽出液を皮膚保護剤として単独に用いる場合
は、鳳仙花アルコール抽出液を水溶性高分子の中に混ぜ
合わせゼリー状クリームにして用いる。本発明の皮膚保
護剤を化粧品に混合して用いる場合は、化粧品10重量
