Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a roller part to a spindle forcibly by projecting an end part of the roller part from a spindle on a fitting part, and fixing the roller part and the spindle from the inner side of the projection part by means of fillet weld. SOLUTION: A fitting spindle 31 of a spindle 3 is pressed in and fitted to a fitting part 21 of a roller part 2 so as to match the roller part 2 and the shaft core of the spindle 3 with each other. AT the time of fitting, the end part of the roller part 2 is projected from a large diameter part of the spindle 3 outward. In both fitting parts, both are integratedly fixed with each other from an inner side of the projection part by means of fillet weld. The end part of the roller part 2 is projected from the spindle 3, both are joined with each other by means of fillet weld, and thereby, sufficient joining strength is obtained without taking a groove. Even if an end surface is cut-off worked at the time of after work, reduction of strength is prevented since a joining part is not projected on the end surface of the roller part.

However, the above-mentioned conventional rolls have the following problems. Rolls in which the roller and the shaft are integrally formed by drawing are difficult to produce when the difference between the outer diameters of the roller and the shaft is large, or when the entire length of the roll is long. For this reason, there is a problem that it is not suitable for production of a small amount or production of many kinds. On the other hand, in a roll formed by forming the roller and the shaft separately, and then integrally joining the shaft to the end face of the roller by the friction welding method, it is difficult to set various conditions of the friction welding. There is a problem that it is difficult to use different kinds of materials for the roller portion and the shaft portion because the materials are restricted. In addition, there is a problem that the processing cannot be performed until after the joining, and the positioning of the roller portion and the shaft portion at the time of joining is unstable, so that the subsequent working is troublesome. In particular, when the difference in the outer diameter between the roller portion and the shaft portion is large, or when the length of the entire roll is long, the post-processing becomes extremely difficult. Furthermore, when the outer diameter of the roller portion is cut in the post-processing, a pinhole or the like is generated at the joint portion, and the surface becomes rough.
These pinholes cannot be determined until after the cutting process, and are fatal defects for the rolls. Therefore, the production process is simple, and the bonding of the members that form the rolls is strong, and a roll with no defects is created. Was desired.

First, a first embodiment will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. In the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the roll (1) is made up of a cylindrical roller portion (2) and a shaft portion (3) which is press-fitted to the inner diameters of both end surfaces of the roller portion (2). In this fitting portion, the end of the roller (2) protrudes from the shaft (3).

[0008] The roller portion (2) is formed in a cylindrical shape, and both ends thereof are fitting portions (21) for fitting the shaft portion. The material of the roller portion (2) is not particularly limited,
It is preferable to use a material of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The roll (1) according to the present embodiment incorporates a heating element (not shown) in the hollow hole of the roller portion (2), and is suitably used as a heat roll of a copying machine or the like. This is because when the material of aluminum or aluminum alloy having good thermal conductivity is used for the portion (2), its function is sufficiently exhibited.

A step is provided on the outer periphery of the shaft portion (3), so that one end has a large diameter portion and the other end has a small diameter portion. The large-diameter portion is a fitting shaft portion (31) press-fitted into the fitting portion (21), and the small-diameter portion is a bearing member (not shown) serving as a mounting portion when the roll (1) is mounted on a copying machine or the like. (3) is a receiving shaft portion (32) to be mounted. Fitting shaft (3
The outer diameter of 1) is set to a dimension to be press-fitted into the fitting portion (21), that is, a size larger than the inner diameter of the roller portion (2). )
The dimensions are set so that the bearing member can be mounted.
The material of the shaft portion (3) is not particularly limited. However, if a material different from the roller portion (2), for example, a stainless material having a low thermal conductivity is used, diffusion of heat from the shaft portion (3) is reduced. It is preferable because it can be performed.

The fitting shaft (3) of the shaft (3) is adjusted so that the axis of the roller (2) and the shaft (3) are aligned.
1) is press-fitted to the fitting portion (21) of the roller portion (2). At the time of fitting, the end of the roller portion (2) projects outward from the large diameter portion of the shaft portion (3) as shown in FIG. Next, the two parts are integrally fixed to the fitting parts of the two parts by fillet welding from the inside of the protruding part (indicated by an arrow A in FIG. 1). In the case where the joint surface between the roller portion (2) and the shaft portion (3) is flush, it is necessary to make a groove in the joint portion at the time of welding in order to obtain joint strength, which is troublesome, and the joint portion is difficult. Since it is located on the end face of the roller, the strength of the joint decreases when cutting the end face.
If the end of the roller portion (2) is made to protrude from the shaft portion (3) and the both are joined by fillet welding, sufficient joining strength can be obtained without taking a groove, and the end surface is cut in post-processing. Even in the case of processing, there is no possibility that the strength is reduced because the joining portion is not exposed on the end face of the roller portion. Further, cutting of the outer diameter of the roller portion can be performed without any adverse effect, and does not affect the quality of the roll (1). In addition, as a welding means, means such as fusion welding, for example, arc welding, electron beam welding and the like are preferable, but not particularly limited.
