Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.血管形成術用カテーテルのための多層膨張部材を製造するための方法であっ て、 a)第1の物理的性質を有するポリマーからなる第1管状パリソン(10、1 2)を形成し; b)第2の物理的性質を有するポリマーからなる第2管状パリソン(12、1 0)を形成し; c)複合パリソンを形成するよう、前記第1および第2管状パリソン(10、 12)の一方を、前記第1および第2管状パリソン(10、12)の他方の上に わたって配置し; d)前記複合パリソンを所定温度にまで加熱し; e)前記多層膨張部材を形成するよう、所定の長さおよび径方向寸法のキャビ ティを有する型(14)内において、前記複合パリソンをブロー成形することを 特徴とする製造方法。 2.さらに、前記複合パリソンの前記ブロー成形と同時に、前記複合パリソンを 、長さ方向に延伸することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 3.前記第1管状パリソン(10、12)は、0.018〜0.030インチの 範囲の壁厚さを有し、前記第2管状パリソン(12、10)は、0.005〜0 .015インチの範囲の壁厚さを有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方 法。 4.前記第1および第2管状パリソン(10、12)の各々の長さ方向にわたっ ての壁厚さの変動は、10%未満であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。 5.前記第1および第2管状パリソン(10、12)の壁厚さの前記変動は、好 ましくは、約3%〜0%であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。 6.前記複合パリソンの加熱により、前記多層膨張部材の隣接する層どうしが、 互いに熱的に接着されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 7.前記第1管状パリソン(10、12)は、ポリエステル材料から形成され、 前記第2管状パリソン(12、10)は、ポリアミドであることを特徴とする請 求項6記載の方法。 8.前記第1管状パリソン(10、12)は、ポリエチレンテレフタレートであ り、前記第2管状パリソン(12、10)は、摩耗耐性ポリマー材料であること を特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。 9.前記摩耗耐性ポリマー材料は、ナイロン6、ナイロン12、ナイロン6/6 、ポリエチレン、および、ポリウレタンを含むグループの中から選択されること を特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。 10.前記第2管状パリソン(12、10)は、前記第1管状パリソン(10、 12)よりも長さの短い管状スリーブを備えていることを特徴とする請求項6記 載の方法。 11.前記管状スリーブは、前記型(14)の前記キャビテイの所定長さと同じ 長さとされていることを特徴とする請求項10記載の方法。 12.前記ブロー成形ステップにおいては、前記第1管状パリソン(10、12 )を径方向に膨らませて、該第1管状パリソンと前記管状スリーブとを融合させ るよう、前記第1管状パリソンを前記管状スリーブに緊密に接触させるために、 前記第1管状パリソン内に、加圧状態の流体を導入することを特徴とする請求項 11記載の方法。 13.さらに、 a)前記第1および第2管状パリソン(10、12)に対して熱的に接着可能 なポリマーからなる管状部材を形成し; b)前記延伸ブロー成形ステップに先立って、前記第1管状パリソン(10、 12)と前記第2管状パリソン(12、10)との間に、前記管状部材を、同中 心に配置することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 14.前記管状部材をなす前記ポリマーは、エチレンプロピレン、エチレンビニ ルアセテート、およびエチレンビニルアルコールを含むクラス、ポリシロキサン 、ポリエチレン、およびこれらのコポリマー、ポリオレフィン、ポリウレタン、 ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリクロラトリエチレン(polychloratriethylene)、エチル テトラフルオロエチレン、ポリアミドの中から選択されることを特徴とする請求 項13記載の方法。 15.血管形成術用カテーテルのための多層膨張部材を製造するための方法であ って、 a)それぞれが異なる物理的性質を有する内側ポリマーチューブ(12)およ び外側ポリマーチューブ(10)を、所定外径を有する円柱状心棒上に、入れ子 式に配置し; b)前記内側ポリマーチューブ(12)および前記外側ポリマーチューブ(1 0)を、これら内側および外側ポリマーチューブが所定の総壁厚さを有するよう 、前記円柱状心棒の外表面に適合させるようにして、同時に延伸し; c)前記外径に対応した管腔を有する複合パリソンが得られるよう、前記心棒 から、前記内側ポリマーチューブ(12)および前記外側ポリマーチューブ(1 0)を取外し; d)前記複合パリソンを所定温度にまで加熱し; e)前記内側および外側ポリマーチューブをなすポリマー材料を、2軸配向さ せて共に接着するために、型内において、長さ方向と径方向との両方に前記複合 パリソンを膨らませることを特徴とする方法。 16.前記複合パリソンを径方向に膨らませる前記ステップにおいては、前記管 腔内に加圧状態の流体を注入することを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。 17.前記複合パリソンを長さ方向と径方向との両方に膨らませる前記ステップ においては、前記管腔内に加圧状態の流体を注入することと、前記複合パリソン を長さ方向に延伸することと、を同時に行うことを特徴とする請求項15記載の 方法。 18.前記内側ポリマーチューブは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、アクリロニ トリル−ブタジエン−スチレン(ABS)、および、ABS/ポリカーボネート コポリマーを含むグループの中から選択された熱可塑性プラスチックから形成さ れることを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。 19.前記外側ポリマーチューブは、ナイロン、ポリエーテルブロックアミド、 ポリエチレンポリウレタン、ポリ塩化ビニルポリカプロラクタム、ポリビニルイ ンドールおよびN−ビニル−ピロリドンを含むグループの中から選択された熱可 塑性プラスチックから形成されることを特徴とする請求項15記載の方法。
