- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.a)放電時に電気化学的に酸化されて電池内に金属イオンを形成し、電池 に接続された外部電気回路に電子流を発生させるアルカリ金属からなるアノード と; b)アノードに関連配備されたアノード集電体と; c)金属元素、金属酸化物、混合金属酸化物、および金属硫化物およびこれら の組合せからなる群の一つから選ばれたカソード活物質からなるカソードと; d)カソードに電気的に関連配備されアルミニウムからなるカソード集電体で あって、そのカソードが、溶媒と混合されたカソード活物質のペーストを展延し てカソードシートに形成し、溶媒をカソードシートから除去し乾燥カソードシー トとして種々の形状を有する自立カソード構造体を形成し、少なくとも一つのカ ソード構造体をカソード集電体の少なくとも片面にプレスして積層カソードを形 成し、カソード活物質がアノードの酸化によって形成された金属イオンを挿入な いし内位添加(インターカレート:intercalate)することによって電子流を発生 する能力を失うことがない少なくとも一つのカソードプレートを有することを特 徴とするカソート集電体と; e)アノードおよびカソードに作用関係に配置された電解質溶液であって、M がアノードを構成するアルカリ金属と同類のアルカリ金属であり、電解質溶液の アルカリ金属とアノードのアルカリ金属との間の反応性が減少させられて熱放散 を減少させ電池の効率を改善し、M’がリン、ヒ素およびアンチモンからなる群 から選ばれた元素である一般式MM’F6を有する無機塩を非水溶媒中に溶解さ せてなる電解質溶液と; からなる高パルス電力電気化学電池。 2.アノードがリチウムからなる請求項1の電気化学電池。 3.アノードがリチウムからなり、電解質溶液を構成する無機塩がヘキサフル オロリン酸リチウムである請求項1の電気化学電池。 4.非水溶媒が炭酸プロピレンとジメトキシエタンとからなる有機溶媒である 請求項1の電気化学電池。 5.カソードが酸化バナジウム銀、酸化バナジウム銀銅(copper silver vana dium oxide)、二酸化マンガン、酸化コバルト、酸化ニッケル、炭素、フッ化炭 素、二硫化チタン、酸化バナジウム銅(copper vanadium oxide)からなる群から 選ばれたカソード活物質からなる請求項1の電気化学電池。 6.カソードが酸化バナジウムおよび第2の金属の熱処理反応、ゾル−ゲル形 成、化学蒸着または熱水合成からなる群の一つの調製産物として形成された混合 金属酸化物からなる請求項1の電気化学電池。 7.カソードシートが約80重量%から約99重量%のカソード活物質からな る請求項1の電気化学電池。 8.カソードがさらに結合剤と導電性添加剤とからなる請求項1の電気化学電 池。 9.a)放電時に電気化学的に酸化されて電池内に金属リチウムイオンを形成 し、電池に接続された外部電気回路に電子流を発生させるリチウムからなるアノ ードと; b)アノードに関連配備されたアノード集電体と; c)金属元素、金属酸化物、混合金属酸化物、および金属硫化物およびこれら の組合せからなる群から選ばれたカソード活物質からなるカソードと; d)カソードに電気的に関連配備されたカソード集電体であって、そのカソー ドが溶媒と混合されたカソード活物質のペーストを自立カソード構造体に展延形 成し、溶媒を除去し、少なくとも一つのカソード構造体をカソード集電体の少な くとも片面にプレスして積層カソードを形成し、カソード活物質がアノードの酸 化によって形成された金属イオンをインターカレートする能力を失うことがない 少なくとも一つの自立カソード構造体を有することを特徴とするカソート集電体 と; e)アノードおよびカソードに作用関係に配置され、有機溶媒中に溶解された ヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウムからなる電解質溶液と; からなる高パルス電力電気化学電池。 10.カソード活物質が金属元素、金属酸化物および混合金属酸化物からなる 群から選ばれた請求項9の電気化学電池。 11.カソード活物質が酸化バナジウム銀、酸化バナジウム銀銅、二酸化マン ガン、二硫化チタン、酸化コバルト、酸化ニッケル、酸化バナジウム銅からなる 群から選ばれた請求項9の電気化学電池。 12.電解質溶液が非水溶媒中に溶解された一般式MM’F6を有する無機塩 からなり、Mがアノードを構成するアルカリ金属と同類のアルカリ金属であり、 M’がリン、ヒ素、アンチモンからなる群から選ばれた元素である請求項9の電 気化学電池。 13.アノードがリチウムからなる請求項9の電気化学電池。 14.アノードがリチウムからなり、電解質溶液を構成する無機塩がヘキサフ ルオロリン酸リチウムである請求項9の電気化学電池。 15.a)放電時に電気化学的に酸化され電池内に金属イオンを形成し、電池 に接続された外部電気回路に電子流を発生させるアルカリ金属からなるアノード を用意し; b)アノードにアノード集電体を関連配備し; c)金属元素、金属酸化物、混合金属酸化物、金属硫化物およびこれらの組合 せからなる群から選ばれたカソード活物質に、 i)このカソード活物質を溶媒に混合してペーストを形成し; ii)ペーストを展延してカソードシートに形成し; iii)溶媒をカソードシートから除去し; iv)カソードシートを種々の形状を有する自立カソード構造に形成する工 程からなる処理を加えて形成したカソードを用意し; d)少なくとも一つの自立カソード構造体をアルミニウムからなる集電体の各 面に圧接して、カソード活物質がアノードの酸化によって形成された金属イオン をインターカレートすることによって電子流を発生させる能力を失うことなく、 電気化学電池に使用される積層カソードを形成し; e)アノードおよびカソードと作用関係に置かれた非水電解質溶液で電気化学 電池を活性化させることからなり、非水電解質溶液が、Mがアノードを構成する アルカリ金属と同類のアルカリ金属であって電解質溶液のアルカリ金属とアノー ドのアルカリ金属との間の反応性を最小にして熱放散と電池の効率を改善させ、 M’がリン、ヒ素、アンチモンからなる群から選ばれた元素である一般式MM’ F6を有する無機塩を非水溶媒中に溶解させてなり; 放電時に高電流パルスを放出し、減少した電圧遅延を呈し、減少した熱放散で 開回路を急速に回復し、高電流容量を有する高エネルギ密度電気化学電池を提供 する方法。 16.リチウムからなるアノードを用意する請求項15の方法。 17.ニッケルからなるアノード集電体を用意する請求項15の方法。 18.アルミニウムカソード集電体に関連された酸化バナジウム銀からなるカ ソードを用意する請求項15の方法。 19.a)カソード活物質を溶媒物質と混合させてカソード活物質を構成する ペーストを形成し; b)ペーストを第1プレス手段に供給し、これによってペーストを、アノード の酸化によって形成された金属イオンによってインターカレート可能な(interca latable)金属カソードシートに形成し; c)溶媒物質をカソードシートから除去し; d)カソードシートを種々の幾何学的形状を有するカソードプレートを提供す るように作用する形成手段に供給し; e)少なくとも一つのカソードプレートをアルミニウムからなる集電手段の各 面にプレスして、カソードが電気化学電池内で使用されるときにカソード活物質 がアノードの酸化によって形成された金属イオンをインターカレートする能力を 失うことなく、積層カソード部材を形成する; ことからなる処理によってカソードが調製される請求項15の方法。 20.展延(カレンダー)前に、カソード活物質をペレット状で提供する圧縮 手段(compaction means)にペーストをまず供給する工程をさらに含む請求項15 の方法。 21.カソード活物質が金属元素、金属酸化物および混合金属酸化物からなる 群から選ばれる請求項15の方法。 22.カソード活物質が酸化バナジウム銀、酸化バナジウム銀銅、二酸化マン ガン、二硫化チタン、酸化コバルト、酸化ニッケル、酸化バナジウム銅およびこ れらの混合物からなる群から選ばれる請求項15の方法。 23.ペーストをカソードシートに形成する工程がさらに液体電解質を滴加す る工程を含む請求項15の方法。 24.a)リチウムアノードと; b)アルミニウムからなるカソード集電体と; c)酸化バナジウム銀の自立構造シートからなり、積層カソードとしてカソー ド集電体にプレスされたことを特徴とするカソードと; d)アノードとカソードに作用的に関連配備され、炭酸プロピレンとジメトキ シエタンに溶解されたヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウムからなる電解質溶液と; からなる電気化学電池。 25.アノードがリチウムからなる請求項24の電気化学電池。 26.アノードがリチウムからなり、電解質溶液を構成する無機塩がヘキサフ ルオロリン酸リチウムである請求項24の電気化学電池。 27.ニッケルからなるアノード集電体をさらに含む請求項24の電気化学電 池。 28.a)放電時に電気化学的に酸化されて、電池内にリチウム金属イオンを 形成して電池に接続された外部電気回路に電子流を発生させるリチウムからなる アノードを用意し; b)アノードをアノード集電体に関連させ; c)自立カソード構造体らなるカソードを、 i)金属元素、金属酸化物、混合金属酸化物および金属硫化物、並びにこ れらの組合せからなる群から選ばれたカソード活物質を溶媒物質と混合してペー ストを形成し; ii)ペーストを自立カソード構造を形成する展延(カレンダー)手段に供 給し; iii)カソード物質から溶媒物質を除去する; ことからなる工程によって調製して提供し、 d)少なくとも一つのカソード構造体をカソード集電体の各面にプレスするこ とによって、カソード活物質がアノードの酸化によって形成された金属イオンの インターカレーションによって電子流を発生させる能力を失うとなく、電気化学 電池内に使用する積層カソードを形成し; e)アノードとカソードに作用的に関連配備され、有機溶媒中に溶解されたヘ キサフルオロリン酸リチウムからなる非水電解質溶液で電池を活性化させる; ことからなる、放電時に高電流パルスを放出し、減少した電圧遅延を呈し、減 少した熱消散で開路電圧を急速に回復し、高電流容量を有する高エネルギ密度電 気化学電池を提供する方法。 29.アルミニウムからなるカソード集電体を用意することを含む請求項28 の方法。
