Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a road surface from being damaged by a tire, make the tire give high anti-skid performance in a snow-covered road or a frozen road, and manufacture the tire easily. SOLUTION: A belt-like anti-skid member 10 consisting of a synthetic resin is buried in a tread 2 of a tire 1 in such a manner that it extends along the circumferential direction of the tire 1. The anti-skid member 10 is provided with a slender, belt-like base part 11 and a great many of pectinate projections 12 projecting almost vertically from both sides of the base part 11. The respective projections 12 extend along the direction almost perpendicular to the ground touch surface of the tread 2, and their tip ends are projected a little from the ground touch surface of the tread 2. Since the projections 12 pierce into the snow-covered road or ice-frozen road, high anti-skid performance is given when the tire 1 runs on such a road. Since the anti-skid member 10 is made of a synthetic resin, it scarcely cause damage to an ordinary asphalted road surface.

However, although the tire chain and the spike tire have excellent anti-slip performance, they have the following problems. Tire chains are disadvantageous in terms of useful life, noise, and riding comfort of automobiles for running on a normal road surface, and are difficult to attach and detach to and from tires. On the other hand, the spiked tire has an excellent anti-slip performance especially on an icy road surface, but the road surface is damaged by the metal spike pin, and the dust caused by the damage is a problem.
Moreover, the work of driving a large number of spike pins into the tread portion of the tire is troublesome.

Therefore, in order to solve the above problems,
In recent years, studless tires have been actively developed. This studless tire has a tread portion made of rubber that does not cure even at low temperatures, and has a unique tread pattern such as a very thin sipe. The soft rubber of the tread portion increases the contact area with the road surface to increase the adhesive frictional force, and the edge effect of the tread pattern improves the anti-slip performance on a snowy road or an icy road.

However, with the studless tires, the anti-slip performance on snowy roads was quite close to that of the above-mentioned tire chains and spike tires, but the anti-slip performance on icy roads was not yet sufficient.

In order to achieve the above object, in the tire invention of claim 1, in the tread portion,
A belt-shaped non-slip member made of a non-metallic material and harder than the tread rubber is embedded so as to extend along the circumferential direction of the tire, and the anti-slip member extends along a direction substantially orthogonal to the ground contact surface of the tread portion. Equipped with a large number of tooth-shaped protrusions,
The tip of each protrusion is projected from the grounding surface of the tread portion.

[0008] In the invention of claim 2, in claim 1,

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a tire non-slip member, which is made of a non-metallic material and has a belt-shaped base portion and a large number of comb-teeth-shaped projections protruding from the base portion. Therefore, according to the invention of claim 1, the projection of the anti-slip member protruding from the ground contact surface of the tread portion pierces the snowy road surface or the icy road surface, thereby exhibiting high anti-slip performance. Moreover, even if the tread rubber is worn, the anti-slip performance is maintained for a long time. In addition, since the anti-slip member is made of a non-metallic material, it hardly damages a normal asphalt road surface. Further, unlike driving a large number of protrusions into the tread portion, it is sufficient to embed a belt-shaped non-slip member having a large number of protrusions in the tread portion prior to molding the tire, which facilitates tire manufacturing. become.

A belt-shaped non-slip member 10 made of a synthetic resin harder than tread rubber is embedded in the tread portion 2 so as to extend along the circumferential direction of the tire 1. The anti-slip members 10 are arranged in a plurality of rows (four rows in this embodiment, in other words four) in the axial direction of the tire 1. The slip prevention member 10 will be described in detail with reference to FIG.
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the anti-slip member 10 has an elongated belt-shaped base portion 11 and a large number of comb-teeth-shaped projections 12 that project substantially vertically from both sides of the base portion 11. Each protrusion 1
The reference numeral 2 extends along a direction substantially orthogonal to the ground contact surface of the tread portion 2, and the tip thereof slightly projects from the ground contact surface of the tread portion 2. A large number of through holes 13 are formed in the base 11. By providing the through hole 13, the slip prevention member 10 embedded in the tread portion 2 is firmly integrated with the tread rubber.

Next, a method for manufacturing the tire 1 having the tread portion 2 as described above will be briefly described. As shown in FIG. 2, a belt-shaped rubber material 14 for forming the outer peripheral side portion of the tread portion 2 is prepared. This rubber material 14
Two wide belt-shaped second rubber members 16 each having two embedded anti-slip members 10 are attached to a wide belt-shaped first rubber member 15. The second rubber material 16 is configured, for example, by pouring liquid rubber into a mold (not shown) and curing the liquid rubber while the two anti-slip members 10 are arranged in the mold. At this time, the liquid rubber is the anti-slip member 1
It is hardened in a state where it enters into the large number of through holes 13 formed in the base portion 0 of 0. Therefore, the anti-slip member 10 is firmly integrated with the rubber forming the second rubber material 16.
Alternatively, the second rubber member 16 may be formed by sandwiching the two anti-slip members 10 from above and below with a band-shaped rubber and pressing them from above and below with a roller or the like.
Also in this case, the rubber enters the through hole 13 and the anti-slip member 10 is firmly integrated with the rubber. Next, the raw tire before vulcanization, which is formed by sticking the rubber material 14 configured as described above to the outer periphery, is vulcanized and molded using a known tire vulcanizer. As a result, as shown in FIG. 1, the tire 1 having the non-slip member 10 embedded in the tread portion 2 is completed.

Now, the tire 1 constructed as described above.
