Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.トリプトース、ラクトース、塩化ナトリウム、胆汁酸塩、グアーガム、お よび増殖したバクテリアの検出およびカウントを12時間以内に可能にするため に、培養バクテリアに近接して高濃度のフェノールレッドを提供するのに十分過 剰のフェノールレッドを含有する媒体中で増殖する大腸菌群の検出およびカウン トを促進するバクテリア培養媒体。 2.フェノールレッドの濃度が約160mg/lより大きい請求項1記載の培養媒 体。 3.フェノールレッドの濃度が約1000mg/lより大きい請求項1記載の培養 媒体。 4.トリプトース約10〜20g/l、ラクトース2.5〜7.5g/l、塩化ナトリ ウム2.5〜7.5g/l、胆汁酸塩1.35〜1.65g/l、グアーガム2.5〜7.5 g/l、塩化トリフエニルテトラゾリウム0.025〜0.120g/lおよびフェノー ルレッド0.16〜5.0g/lを含有する請求項4記載の培養媒体。 5.トリプトース、ラクトース、塩化ナトリウム、胆汁酸塩、グアーガムおよ び培養バクテリアに近接して高濃度のフェノールレッドを提供するのに十分過剰 なフェノールレッドを含有する培養媒体に大腸菌群を含むサンプルのアリコート を加える工程、培養媒体の存在下にバクテリアを培養する工程、ついで、12時 間以内に培養したバクテリアの代謝物としてフェノールレッドの色の変化を検出 する工程からなるサンプル中の大腸菌群の存在を検出する方法。 6.バクテリアが培養媒体を含有する寒天中で増殖する請求項5記載の方法。 7.バクテリアが媒体を含有する懸濁液中で増殖する請求項5記載の方法。 8.自己支持性で防水性の支持体、発泡体スペーサーおよび透明カバーシート から本質的になるサンプル中の大腸菌群の増殖を検出する装置において、トリプ トース、ラクトース、塩化ナトリウム、胆汁酸塩、グアーガムおよび12時間以 内にバクテリアの増殖の検出およびカウントを行うために増殖バクテリアに近接 して高濃度のフェノールレッドを提供するのに十分過剰のフェノールレッドを含 有する培養媒体を前記自己支持性で防水性の支持体上に塗布する、大腸菌群の増 殖を検出するデバイス。 9.フェノールレッドが色を赤から黄色に変化させ、その変化がある特定の装 置で検出される請求項8記載のデバイス。 10.塩化トリフェニルテトラゾリウムが大腸菌群の存在下に約24時間後に 色が変化する請求項8記載のデバイス。
