Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.多数のノイズ推定値を計算する工程と、複数のあらかじめ決められたノイズ 推定値区間のどのノイズ推定値区間があらかじめ決められた数のノイズ推定値を 少なくとも含み同時に最も低い区間上限をもつかを決める工程とを有し、出力ノ イズ測定値が当該決められたノイズ推定値区間に依存することを特徴とする画像 信号のノイズを測定する方法。 2.多数のノイズ推定値(SAD)を計算するための手段(1)と、複数のあら かじめ決められたノイズ推定値区間のどのノイズ推定値区間があらかじめ決めら れた数のノイズ推定値(SAD)を少なくとも含み同時に最も低い区間上限(B )をもつかを決定するための手段(3〜9)とを有し、出力ノイズ測定値が当該 決められたノイズ推定値区間に依存することを特徴とする画像信号のノイズを測 定するための装置。 3.請求項2に記載の装置において、前記計算手段(1)が、入力画像信号を遅 延して遅延信号を供給する手段(11)と、前記入力画像信号及び前記遅延信号 に基づいて差信号を決定するための手段(13〜23)とを有し、当該差信号( SAD)が前記ノイズ推定値であることを特徴とする装置。 4.請求項3に記載の装置において、前記差信号決定手段(13〜23)が、前 記入力画像信号のサンプルと前記遅延信号のサンプルとの間の差の絶対値を得る ための手段(13)と、あらかじめ決められた数のピクセル期間にわたって前記 絶対値を遅延させて複数の絶対値信号を得る手段(15〜19)と、前記絶対値 信号を加算して前記差信号(SAD)を得る手段(21〜23)とを有すること を特徴とする装置。 5.請求項2に記載の装置において、前記決定手段(3〜9)が、前記ノイズ推 定値(SAD)を前記区間上限(B)と比較するための手段(3)と、前記ノイ ズ推定値(SAD)が前記区間上限(B)より下である回数をカウントして第1 のカウント信号を供給する手段(5)と、前記第1のカウント信号をあらかじめ 決められた値(NE)と比較して比較信号を得る手段(7)と、前記比較信号に より第2のカウント信号を変更して前記出力ノイズ測定値を得る手段(9)とを 有する装置。 6.請求項5に記載の装置において、前記画像信号が圧縮又は伸張操作され、前 記画像信号が表示される圧縮又は伸張比に前記あらかじめ決められた値(NE) が適合されることを特徴とする装置。 7.請求項5に記載の装置において、ノイズが前記画像信号内の相対的に平坦な 領域に対してだけ測定され、前記あらかじめ決められた値(NE)が前記相対的 に平坦な領域内のノイズ推定値の数に適合されることを特徴とする装置。 8.請求項5に記載の装置において、前記画像信号がピーキング操作され、前記 あらかじめ決められた値(NE)が前記画像信号に適用された前記ピーキングに 適合されることを特徴とする装置。 9.請求項2に記載の装置において、前記決定手段(3〜9)が前記出力ノイズ 測定値に依存した前記区間上限(B)を制御するための手段(*f)を有するこ とを特徴とする装置。 10.請求項2に記載の装置において、前記決定手段(3〜9)があらかじめ決 められた区間([C,D])内の入力画像信号値と対応するノイズ推定値(SA D)だけを考慮するための手段(3A)を有することを特徴とする装置。
