本実施例の塗被製品は、熱可塑性下塗りを有し、混合された熱可塑性重合体が シリコーン重合体被膜に含まれたシリコーン重合体塗被紙であった。他の方式で 用いられる熱可塑性重合体から区別するために、下塗りの熱可塑性重合体をここ では第一のフィルム形成用熱可塑性重合体と称する。本実施例の製品のこの一般 的記述は、実施例69で製造されるシリコーン重合体塗被紙にも該当する。 し、約280m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約9.1kg(約20ポンド)の湿潤被膜 重量を与えた。被膜を強制送気オーブン中で約138℃(約280゜F)の空気温度で 乾燥して、約280m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約4.5kg(約10ポンド)の乾 燥被膜重量を得た。 本実施例の被覆製品は、シリコーン重合体被膜と反対側の紙の表面に熱可塑性 被膜を有するシリコーン重合体塗被紙であった。別の実施例で別の方式で用いら れる熱可塑性重合体と区別するために、シリコーン重合体被膜と反対側の紙の側 面の熱可塑性被膜の熱可塑性重合体を、ここでは第二のフィルム形成用熱可塑性 重合体と称する。 小袋材料としての本実施例の材料を評価する試験の結果を表8に提示する。 本実施例のシリコーン重合体塗被紙は、1:2タイプのシールについては剥離 可能なシールを与えたが、約177℃(350゜F)という高い密封温度で形成された 1: 1タイプのシールは皆無であった。これらの密封特性を有する小袋材料は、パッ ケージの設計が1:1タイプのシールは必要とされないようなそれである、いく つかの包装の用途に許容され得るであろう。図17は、1:2タイプのシールのみ を必要とする小袋(100)を示す。小袋(100)は、辺縁(104)沿いに折り畳ん だ唯1枚のシリコーン重合体塗被紙(102)から形成され、シリコーン重合体で 被覆した表面が小袋の内面を形成する。縫い目(106及び108)は、初めに、図18 に示したようにして、小袋(100)の下側の層の張り出した部分を折り返すこと によって形成されるが、この図は、何らかの場台に、小袋に製品を挿入するため の開口を与えるためになされるように、密封せずに残される縫い目部域の一部の 断面図である。図18では、シリコーン重合体塗被紙の紙の基質が110として指定 され、シリコーン重合体被膜は112として、そしてシリコーン被膜と反対側の紙 の表面の熱可塑性被膜は114として指定されている。図17に示した、縫い目部域 に材料が図18に示したとおりに配置されたタイプの小袋の縫い目を密封するには 、1:2タイプのシールを形成することのみが必要であるにすぎない。実施例71 実施例62で製造されたシリコーン重合体塗被紙を、シリコーン被膜と反対側の 表面(第二表面)に、実施例62で下塗りに用いた同じアクリル系共重合体のエマ ルジョ ンであるHycar 26373を用いて熱可塑性被覆を施すことによって、改質した。Hyc ar 26373エマルジョンを希釈せずに、ワイヤを巻いた塗布ロッドを用いて紙の第 二表面に塗布し、約280m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約6.8kg(約15ポンド )の湿潤被膜重量を与えた。被膜を強制送気オーブン中で約90℃の空気温度で乾 燥して、約280m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約4.1kg(約9ポンド)の乾燥 被膜重量を得た。 本実施例の被覆製品は、熱可塑性下塗りを有し、かつシリコーン重合体被膜と 反対側の紙の表面に熱可塑性被膜を有するシリコーン重合体塗被紙であった。 小袋材料としての本実施例の材料を評価する試験の結果を表8に提示する。実施例72 実施例65で製造されたシリコーン重合体塗被紙を、シリコーン被膜と反対側の 表面(第二表面)に、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体の水を基質とするエマルジ ョンを用いて熱可塑性被覆を施すことによって改質した。エチレン−酢酸ビニル 共重合体のエマルジョン、すなわちAirflex 421は、米国ペンシルバニア州Allen townのAirProducts社によって供給された。このエマルジョンは、供給された限 りでは、約52重量%の固体のエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体を含有して、ガラス 転移温度が0℃であった。このAirflex 421エマルジョンを希釈せずに、ワイヤ を巻いた塗布ロッドを用いて紙の第二表面に塗布 し、約280m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約6.4kg(約14ポンド)の湿潤被膜 重量を与えた。被膜を強制送気オーブン中で約90℃の空気温度で乾燥して、約28 0m2(3,000平方フィート)あたり約3.2kg(約7ポンド)の乾燥被膜重量を得 た。 本実施例の塗被製品は、混合された熱可塑性重合体がシリコーン重合体被膜に 含まれ、かつシリコーン重合体被膜と反対側の紙の表面に熱可塑性被膜を有する シリコーン重合体塗被紙であった。 小袋材料としての本実施例の材料を評価する試験の結果を表8に提示する。 実施例58〜72は、本発明の基本的概念は、シリコーン重合体で被覆された内側 に面する表面、及び密封された辺縁を有する小袋を、水を基質とするエマルジョ ン若しくは分散系の形態で与えられた1種類又はそれ以上の熱可塑性成分を含有 するシリコーン重合体塗被紙から製造するのに用いることが可能であることを示 している。 本発明の範囲は、実施例に用いられた特定の材料の使用に限定されない。実施 例58〜72に用いられたもの以外の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系を用い て、シリコーン被膜と反対側の紙の側面に熱可塑性下塗り若しくは熱可塑性被膜 のいずれをも生成すること、又はシリコーン重合体被膜配合物に混合された熱可 塑性重合体を与えることが可能である。例えば、水溶性重合体、例えばエチレン −アクリル酸共重合体のアンモニウム塩の水 を基質とする分散系をいずれの熱可塑性被膜に用いてもよいであろう。もう一つ の代替策として、熱可塑性重合体を粉末、例えばポリエチレン粉末の水を基質と する分散系として与えることができるであろう。1種類以上の重合体を含有する 水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系、例えばエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体 及び酢酸ビニル単独重合体をともに含有するエマルジョンを用いることも許容し 得る。熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系を塗被紙製品の 1層を超える層に用いる本発明のこれらの実施態様においては、異なる熱可塑性 重合体を構造の異なる部分に用いてもよい。例えば、製品が熱可塑性下塗り、及 びシリコーン重合体被膜に含まれた混合された熱可塑性重合体の双方を有する場 合に、これらは同じタイプの重合体である必要はない。 本発明に従って製造された製品の立証された効用及び汎用性に基づき、本発明 の範囲の本質的側面に関する下記の請求を行なう。

- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.シリコーン被膜をその表面に有する少なくとも1枚のシートで形成される柔 軟な容器であって、該シリコーン被膜は、容器の内部を少なくとも部分的に囲む 少なくとも1辺縁の縫い目を有する容器の内面の少なくとも一部を被覆し、該縫 い目は、少なくともその一方がシリコーン被膜を有する、2層の重ね合わせた辺 縁帯域の積層を含み、該辺縁の縫い目は、該重ね合わせた辺縁帯域の双方を変形 させる複数の不連続のエンボスを有する柔軟な容器。 2.該少なくとも1枚のシートが紙である請求項1記載の柔軟な容器。 3.該少なくとも1枚のシートがフィルムである請求項1記載の柔軟な容器。 4.該重ね合わせた辺縁帯域のそれぞれが、互いに面し、かつ接触するシリコー ン被膜を有する請求項1記載の柔軟な容器。 5.その表面に感圧接着剤を有する製品を収め、該製品の感圧接着剤が、該シリ コーン被膜の一部に面し、かつ接触し、そのため、接着剤のための独立した、取 り外し可能である、そして廃棄可能である保護層が必要とされない請求項1記載 の柔軟な容器。 6.少なくとも部分的にはシリコーン重合体塗被紙から形成され、該シリコーン 重合体塗被紙は、第一表面及び 第二表面を有する紙の基質、シリコーン重合体被膜、並びに少なくとも第一の熱 可塑性成分を含み、該第一の熱可塑性成分は、熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とする エマルジョン又は分散系として与えられ、該シリコーン重合体被膜は、該柔軟な 容器の、汚れが付着しない内面を形成し、該柔軟な容器は、少なくともその一方 は該汚れが付着しない内面を含む2層の重ね合わせた辺縁帯域を結合して密封が 形成される、少なくとも1側面の縫い目を有する請求項1記載の柔軟な容器。 7.該第一の熱可塑性成分が、該第一表面に塗布された第一のフィルム形成用熱 可塑性重合体の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられる熱可塑 性下塗りであって、該シリコーン重合体被膜は該熱可塑性下塗りに重ねて塗布さ れる請求項6記載の柔軟な容器。 8.該シリコーン重合体塗被紙が、該シリコーン重合体被膜に含まれ、かつ水を 基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられる混合された熱可塑性重合体 である第二の熱可塑性成分を更に含む請求項7記載の柔軟な容器。 9.該混合された熱可塑性重合体成分がエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体である請 求項8記載の柔軟な容器。 10.該シリコーン重合体塗被紙が、該第二表面に塗布された第二のフィルム形成 用熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられる熱 可塑性被膜である第二の熱可塑性成分を更に含む請求項7記載 の柔軟な容器。 11.該第二のフィルム形成用熱可塑性重合体がアクリル系共重合体である請求項 10記載の柔軟な容器。 12.該第一のフィルム形成用熱可塑性重合体が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体 、ポリ酢酸ビニル、エチレン−塩化ビニル共重合体、アクリル系共重合体、塩化 ビニリデン共重合体及びポリスチレンからなる群から選ばれる請求項7記載の柔 軟な容器。 13.該第一の熱可塑性重合体成分が、該シリコーン重合体被膜に含まれた、水を 基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられる、混合された熱可塑性重合 体である請求項6記載の柔軟な容器。 14.該シリコーン重合体塗被紙が、該第二表面に塗布された第二のフィルム形成 用熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられた熱 可塑性被膜である第二の熱可塑性成分を更に含む請求項13記載の柔軟な容器。 15.該第二のフィルム形成用熱可塑性重合体が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体 である請求項14記載の柔軟な容器。 16.該混合された熱可塑性重合体が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体である請求 項13記載の柔軟な容器。 17.該第一の熱可塑性重合体成分が、該第二表面に塗布された第二のフィルム形 成用熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とするエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられた 熱可塑 性被膜であって、該シリコーン重合体被膜が該第一表面に塗布されている請求項 6記載の柔軟な容器。 18.該第二のフィルム形成用熱可塑性重合体が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体 である請求項17記載の柔軟な容器。 19.該熱可塑性重合体が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリ酢酸ビニル、エ チレン−塩化ビニル共重合体、アクリル系共重合体、塩化ビニリデン共重合体及 びポリスチレンからなる群から選ばれる請求項6記載の柔軟な容器。 20.少なくとも部分的にはシリコーン重合体塗被紙から形成された柔軟な容器で あって、該シリコーン重合体塗被紙は、第一表面及び第二表面を有する紙の基質 、シリコーン重合体被膜、並びに、少なくとも、熱可塑性重合体の水を基質とす るエマルジョン又は分散系として与えられる第一の熱可塑性成分を含み、該シリ コーン重合体被膜は、該柔軟な容器の、汚れが付着しない内面を形成し、該柔軟 な容器は、少なくともその一方は該汚れが付着しない内面を含む2層の重ね合わ せた辺縁帯域を結合して密封が形成される、少なくとも1側面の縫い目を有する 柔軟な容器。 21.小袋、袋、封筒その他の形態での請求項20記載の柔軟な容器。
