Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high transfer efficiency of a transfer film and to transfer a film to a substrate to produce a high-quality color filter by providing an air blowing part on a transfer roller. CONSTITUTION: Air is blown from an air blowing part 43 to uniformly press a transfer film 41 held by a pawl part 42 on a transfer roller 47. The roller 47 is continued to rotate, and when the part 42 comes near another air blowing part 44, air is blow from the part 44 to the edge part of the film 4. Further, the roller 47 is continued to rotate, and when the part 42 comes to the position where the film overlaps with a substrate, the part 42 is opened. Then air is blown from the part 44 to easily peel the film 41 from the roller 47. After the transfer is completed, blowing of air from the blowing part 43, 44 is stopped.

One embodiment of the present invention is shown in the cross-sectional view of FIG.
The operation will be described with reference to this figure. 1) The support film 112 and the photosensitive resin film 14 that form the transfer film are sandwiched between the guide rollers 13 and move to the claw portions 15 of the transfer roller 11 in synchronization with the rotation of the transfer roller 11. 2) The sensor 110 recognizes that the support film 112 and the photosensitive resin film 14 have come near the claw portion 15. 3) The sensor 111 recognizes that the ends of the support film 112 and the photosensitive resin film 14 have come to the position where they can be sandwiched by the claw portions 15. (When both sensors do not sense, a warning is given and automatic stop is performed. Or, a warning is given and the transfer roll is continuously rotated without the transfer film being sandwiched, and is sandwiched by the next claw portion 15 '.) 4) The claw portion 15 Only the both ends of the support film 112 and the front end of the photosensitive resin film 14 are sandwiched and closed. An elastic member 16 such as rubber is provided at the contact portion between the claw portion 15 and the transfer film so that the support film 112 and the photosensitive resin film 14 are not scratched. 5) Immediately after that, air is blown from the air blowing device 19 to transfer the transfer film held by the claws to the transfer roller 1
Press evenly on 1. Here, the operating state of the blowing device will be specifically described with reference to FIGS. 4 to 7. The transfer roller continues to rotate, and when the claw portion 52 comes near the other air blowing device 54, air is blown from the air blowing device 54 toward the end portion of the transfer film (FIG. 5). Further, the transfer roller 57 continues to rotate, and the claw portion 52
, When it comes to the position where it overlaps with the board that has moved forward,
2 opens (Fig. 5). Thereafter, the air is blown from the transfer roller by the air blowing device 45 to facilitate the peeling of the transfer film 51 from the transfer roller 57 (FIG. 6). Finally, at the end of the transfer, the blowing of air from the blowing devices 53 and 54 stops (FIG. 7).

The structure of the transfer film 31 includes at least a protective film, a film-shaped photosensitive resin and a support film.
Consists of layers. Therefore, it is necessary to separate these and transfer only the photosensitive resin used for the color filter to the substrate.

From the supply section 32 of the transfer film 31, the first,
A few nip rollers 33, 34, 35 pull the transfer film 31 in synchronization with each other. The transfer film 31 from the supply unit 32 passes through the dancer roller 36 for tension control, and then reaches the mark reading unit 315 via the first nip roller 33. The mark reading unit 315 is provided to read the information written in advance on the transfer film 31. For example, the quality of the transfer film is read, and if the transfer film is defective, the transfer of the substrate is stopped.

Here, the dancer roller 36 for tension control provided in front of the supply unit 31 is 5 to 30.
A weight such as a kilogram is set, and the tension is kept constant by changing the position of the dancer roller 36. This is because when the transfer film 31 is strongly pulled or loosened, a feedback action is applied by the dancer roller 36. It should be noted that the side of the discharge section 36 'of the protective film can be kept at a constant tension by the same device.

The transfer film 31 is sandwiched by 4 and 35 and cut by a cutter 316 in accordance with the size of the substrate 313. The amount of film cut at this time is calculated from the size of the substrate set in the setting unit of the control unit. In the case of the present embodiment, the calculation is performed so that it is slightly smaller than the set size of the substrate. The protective film is peeled off, and the transfer film cut into a certain size by the cutter 316 is the guide roller 3
It moves in the direction of the transfer roller 39 while being nipped by 8. still,

The operation of the transfer roller 39 having the features of the present invention is as described above. That is, the space between the claw portion (not shown in FIG. 3) and the transfer roller 39 is widened by the detection of the first sensor (not shown in FIG. 3), and the second sensor (FIG.
(Not shown), the transfer film 31 is sandwiched between the transfer roller and the transfer roller by movement of a claw (not shown in FIG. 3). The operation of the blowing device or the like at this time is as described above.

Before and after the heated pressing roller 310, there are conveying rollers 312 at regular intervals so that the substrate 313 can be conveyed smoothly, and each roller 312 is connected by a timing mechanism using a timing belt. The substrate 313 on which the transfer film 31 is transferred is conveyed to the peeling portion of the transfer film 31, and the supporting film of the transfer film attached is peeled from the substrate 31 to leave the photosensitive resin on the substrate. In some cases, the support film is not peeled off before the exposure, the exposure is performed while the support film is held, and the support film is peeled off after the exposure. This is because most of the photosensitive materials used are of the radical polymerization type, and the deactivation of radicals can be prevented by obtaining the effect of the oxygen barrier film.

In the second aspect of the present invention, the transfer film is uniformly spread over the substrate so that the transfer can be performed, so that the generation of wrinkles at the time of transfer can be reduced and a high quality color filter can be manufactured. . Further, by spraying clean air onto the transfer film and the transfer roller, it is possible to prevent and remove particles from adhering to the surface, which has the effect of improving the manufacturing yield. Furthermore, by adopting warm air as the air, the surface temperature of the transfer film is prevented from lowering and the adhesion between the photosensitive resin and the substrate is improved, so pixel peeling is reduced and manufacturing yield is improved. It is effective.
