Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本考案は、溶着すべき物品、例えば液体容器に使用さ
れるプラスチック製の注出口を前記液体容器に溶着する
超音波溶着機のホーンに関するものである。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、液体用紙容器など見られるようにプラスチック
製の注出口を備えた液体容器は、第6図に示すように、
容器本体aの上部斜面bに設けた開孔に注出口cを装着
し、その注出口cのフランジ部dを超音波溶着してい
る。そして前記注出口cのフランジ部dの溶着に際して
は、第7図に示すようにスリーブ状となっている容器本
体aの開孔に内側から注出口cを挿入し、前記容器本体
a内に当てを配置するとともに、外方から超音波溶着機
のホーンeを前記注出口cを覆うようにしてフランジ部
dに対応位置させ当てている。
上述したようにホーン本体の前部には注出口cの突出
した筒部fを収納するための凹部gが設けられている
が、前記筒部fと凹部gとは接触せずに空間があること
から、この筒部fが過度に振動(横揺れ)してしまい、
特に注出口が開封用薄肉部を有しているタイプのもので
あった場合には、その薄肉部にピンホールが発生した
り、部分的破断を生じてしまうという問題があった。そ
こで前記凹部gにこの凹部gの断面形状に合致したゴム
製の弾性体hを配置し、この弾性体hを注出口cの先端
やキャップに接触させて、超音波の振動によって凹部内
の筒部が過度に振動しないように設けられており(第8
図)、必要とする箇所に確実に振動が伝わり薄肉部など
にピンホールや部分的破断が発生するのを防止してい
た。
〔考案が解決しようとする課題〕
しかしながら、凹部内面と上記弾性体とが隙間なく接
触している状態であることから、超音波発生時にこの両
者が摩擦して発熱し、発振器のオーバーロードが発生す
るという不都合があった。
そこで本考案は、注出口などの被溶着物品に接触して
その振動を防止しながら、なおかつ発振器のオーバーロ
ードをホーンの対処によって無くすようにすることを課
題とし、注出口の不良および超音波溶着機側の不良が生
じない注出口の溶着を行うことを目的とする。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本考案は、上記した課題を考慮してなされたもので、
ホーン本体には被溶着物品を覆うための前方凹部が形成
されるとともに、この前方凹部に連通する取付凹部が形
成され、この前方凹部乃至取付凹部内に溶着時に被溶着
物品を押さえ込む弾性体が配置されてなる超音波溶着用
ホーンにおいて、前記弾性体は、周方向に張り出し部を
有して前記前方凹部の内周面に対して部分的に接触する
押さえ部と、前記取付凹部の内周面に対して部分的に接
触する支持部とから構成されていることを特徴とする超
音波溶着用ホーンを提供して、上記課題を解消するもの
である。
〔作用〕
本考案において、弾性体が被溶着物品に接触して非溶
着部分の無用の振動を押さえた状態でホーンにより超音
波溶着を行う。そして部分的に前方凹部内面に接触する
とともに、支持部が部分的に取付凹部内面に接触し、弾
性体全体としてホーン本体との接触面積が少ない状態で
装着されるようになり、ホーン本体と弾性体との摩擦部
分が少ない状態で被溶着物品の溶着が行われる。さらに
支持部があることによって、押さえ部だけの構成に比較
して弾性体全体の弾性力がより向上するようになる。
〔実施例〕
つぎに本考案を第1図から第5図に示す実施例に基づ
いて詳細に説明する。
図中1は超音波溶着用ホーンで、該ホーン1は、第1
図と第2図に示すように、ホーン本体2の前方に注出口
である被溶着物品Aの突出部分を覆うように形成された
断面円状の前方凹部3とこの前方凹部3に連続して断面
円状の取付凹部4が設けられ(第2図参照)、この前方
凹部3と取付凹部4に渡って弾性体5を装着した構成と
したものである。
前記弾性体5は、第3図に示すように、被溶着物品A
に接触して突出部分の不要な振動を抑える押さえ部6と
この押さえ部6に連続して一体となる支持部7とから設
けられているものである。前記押さえ部6にあって、前
方凹部3の内面に部分的に接触するように張り出し部8
を備えていて、第4図に示すようにその断面形状が略四
角形状であり、その角部および裏面周囲で前記前方凹部
3の内面と接触している。前記張り出し部8の角部は前
方凹部3の内面形状に対応するように丸みが付けられて
いる。また、前記支持部7は、取付凹部4より小径の略
円柱状に成形されているとともに、その一部において取
付凹部4の内面に部分的に接触するように大径部9を備
えている。
上記構造のホーン1によって被溶着物品Aの超音波溶
着が行われるものであって、被溶着物品Aの突出部分を
覆うようにしてホーン1の先端が前記被溶着物品と取付
側の容器本体との溶着部分に付勢状態で当接する。弾性
体5の押さえ代は、前方凹部内の形状によって変化を付
ける必要があるが概ね2〜3mmがよく、溶着時に押さえ
部6が若干変形して被溶着物品Aの突出部分を押さえ付
けるようになる。そして溶着時には前記押さえ部6の裏
面周囲と張り出し部8の角部、および支持部7の大径部
9とがホーン本体に接触しているだけであって、摩擦面
積が少なく発熱量が小さくなる。また大径部9と取付凹
部4とが接触することから、溶着時の押し付けによって
も支持部7が折れず、確実に被溶着物品Aを押圧する。
第5図に示すように、ホーン1の前部を囲むようにし
て冷却ブローパイプ10を配置し、このパイプ10から冷気
を吹き付けることによって、摩擦熱による温度上昇をよ
り良好に押さえることができるようになる。
なお、上記押さえ部6は略四角形状としたが、前方凹
部の内部形状に対応して部分的に接触するように適宜に
設定される。
〔考案の効果〕
以上説明したように、本考案によれば、超音波溶着用
ホーンは、ホーン本体には被溶着物品を覆うための前方
凹部が形成されるとともに、この前方凹部に連通する取
付凹部が形成され、この前方凹部乃至取付凹部内に溶着
時に被溶着物品を押さえ込む弾性体が配置されてなるも
のであって、前記弾性体は、周方向に張り出し部を有し
て前記前方凹部の内周面に対して部分的に接触する押さ
え部と、前記取付凹部の内周面に対して部分的に接触す
る支持部とから構成されているので、超音波溶着時に、
被溶着物品の突出部分などの被溶着部分の不要な振動を
抑え、ピンホールや破断などを発生させることなく溶着
が行われるとともに、弾性体とホーン体との摩擦部分が
小さくなって摩擦により発熱がきわめて小さくなり、発
振器のオーバーロードを生じさせることがない。
そして、弾性体が押さえ部と支持部とからなり、支持
部と取付凹部とが接触する部分があることによって、溶
着時の押しつけの際に支持部が折れるのが防止され、そ
の支持部によって、従来の押さえ部だけの構成に比較し
て弾性体全体の弾性力がより向上するようになる。
さらに冷却用エアブローを併用する場合でも、それ程
強力なブローとしなくとも溶着効果を向上させることが
できるようになるなど、実用性にすぐれた効果を奏する
ものである。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】ホーン本体には被溶着物品を覆うための前
    方凹部が形成されるとともに、この前方凹部に連通する
    取付凹部が形成され、 この前方凹部乃至取付凹部内に溶着時に被溶着物品を押
    さえ込む弾性体が配置されなる超音波溶着用ホーンにお
    いて、 前記弾性体は、周方向に張り出し部を有して前記前方凹
    部の内周面に対して部分的に接触する押さえ部と、前記
    取付凹部の内周面に対して部分的に接触する支持部とか
    ら構成されていることを特徴とする超音波溶着用ホー
    ン。
