Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect abnormal condition in a sea water pump system from the map of pressure in relation to the signal of a pressure sensor and the rotational, speed of an engine provided beforehand so as to announce an alarm by providing respective sensors for detecting pressures in the inlet and the outlet of the sea water pump and the rotational speed of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 6 is provided on an engine 7, and connected to the discharge side circuit 4 of a sea water pump 11, and a sea water circuit 6a is provided so as to discharge exhaust gas from the sea water circuit 6a toward an outboard through the water jacket 7a of an exhaust pipe. An intake side pressure sensor 3 is provided in the intake circuit 2 of the sea water pump 11, and a discharge side pressure sensor 5 is provided in a discharge side circuit 4, and they are connected to an abnormal condition detecting alarm device 8 together with an engine rotational speed sensor 12. A rotational speed signal calculated from the signal of the rotational speed sensor 12 is comparing-calculated with a signal from the discharging side pressure sensor 5 and a signal from the intake side pressure sensor 3, and it is judged that its calculated value is in either one zone of a map which is set beforehand or not. Failure is judged on the basis of a reference value, and an alarm is announced by means of a buzzer while displaying failure content on a failure content indicator panel.
