On the other hand, embossing has been widely used as a method for imparting a ground pattern to synthetic paper using a synthetic resin film.
However, in embossing, the sheet material is preheated, and the pattern is engraved with a pattern roll to give an uneven pattern,
The method of cooling and winding is common. That is, two steps are required to manufacture a waterproof recording material having a ground pattern, and therefore the steps are complicated and the productivity is poor.

The first purpose of blending the inorganic filler is to use the heat at the time of laminating to gasify the adhering water and crystallization water of the inorganic filler, and to utilize the pyrolysis gas of the inorganic filler itself to form voids. Let The voids are preferably open cells and closed cells, which are fine, and improve the coating property and fixing property of the drug layer to be post-processed, and particularly impart heat insulating property and cushioning property as a base material of heat-sensitive recording paper. Therefore, it is preferable. The second purpose is to impart hydrophilicity, improve the wettability of the film layer surface, and further improve printability and coating properties. The third purpose is to impart hydrophilicity to reduce the charging property and improve handling workability.
The fourth purpose is to make the film layer white and opaque to give a natural paper-like feel and to increase the contrast between the recorded image and the ground color. In particular, the purpose of blending the organic filler is to perform the above-mentioned void formation, but here, it is carried out by utilizing phase separation from the thermoplastic synthetic resin and decomposition gas of the organic filler. In addition, blending an organic filler rather than an inorganic filler has the advantage of reducing the weight because the specific gravity of the resin mixture becomes smaller.

As the inorganic filler used in the present invention, calcium carbonate, silica, mica, talc, clay, zeolite,
Alumina, magnesia, titanium oxide, tin oxide, glass powder, barium sulfate, bentonite, diatomaceous earth, gypsum, sodium hydrogencarbonate, etc. are exemplified, while organic fillers include urea resin, phenol resin, thermosetting polyester resin, silicone resin. Examples thereof include polystyrene resins, methylmethacrylate resins, and the like. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more depending on the purpose of use. The content of the filler is preferably in the range of 0.5 to 60% by weight. If it is less than 0.5% by weight, the void formation promoting effect is small, and if it exceeds 60% by weight, the laminating property is deteriorated. The blending amount is appropriately determined according to the laminating temperature, the amount of generated gas, and the like.

In the present invention, the use of a compatibilizer is a preferred embodiment. The compatibilizing agent used in the present invention is a thermoplastic synthetic resin that constitutes the resin composition, acts between the filler and the gas forming the voids, and is intended to make the voids formed uniform and fine. is there. What is desirable as a compatibilizer is, of course, an ordinary surface active agent, but in addition to a silicone type or a fluorine type surface active agent, for example, a polymer type propylene oxide, polystyrene sodium sulfonate, or a functional group-containing olefin resin (maleic anhydride). Polymer compounds such as acid copolymers, acrylic acid-based copolymers, itaconic acid copolymers, etc.), ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers, and α-olefin adducts of polymethyl hydrogen siloxane can be used. The selection and blending amount of the compatibilizer are determined by the blending ratio of each component constituting the resin composition, the HLB value, and the like. Depending on the type of compatibilizer, it has an antistatic effect and a void forming ability by thermal decomposition. Mixing ratio is usually 0.1 to 15
A weight% range is preferred. If it is less than 0.1% by weight, the effect is not sufficient, and if it exceeds 15% by weight, the extrudability is adversely affected.

That is, a resin composition obtained by mixing a thermoplastic synthetic resin with a filler is extruded into a film shape between a base material and a sheet having a printed pattern (hereinafter, referred to as a master sheet), and pressure-bonded,
After cooling, the master sheet is peeled and separated to transfer the pattern of the master sheet onto the surface of the resin composition film layer. This is a so-called extrusion laminating sandwich laminating method. In this case, the resin composition and the matrix sheet must be a combination that is released from each other. When a polyethylene resin or a polypropylene resin is used as the thermoplastic synthetic resin which is the main component of the resin composition, for example, a polyester resin or poly-4-methylpentene-1 is used as the mother sheet resin. Resin, vinyl chloride resin and the like are suitable. The pattern obtained by printing is an appropriate combination of the amount and color of ink (in addition to pigments, etc., metal powder, ceramic powder, metal oxide, etc., powdered or granular materials that can be used for printing) (that is, their particle size, shape, and dispersion). The degree of glossiness and tone are changed by various known methods by a known printing method.
