ら法枠状にコンクリートを吹付ける岩盤緑化工法や、法
面に予め金網を設置しアンカーで之を固着し、この上に
植生基盤材と植物の種子の混合物を吹付ける厚層基盤材
吹付工法等の緑化工法があるが、この様な従来のグリー
ンポケット工法にあってはコンクリートで囲まれた植生
体であるから雨水等が流失せず、急峻な法面では植生体
を保持することは出来ても周囲がコンクリートで囲まれ
ている為、植物の根がポケット内でしか伸長できない為
成育が制限されたり、成育はポケット内だけの水で行わ
れるので乾燥が続く気象条件では立ち枯れが生ずる等の
欠点があり、又、岩盤緑化工法は予めコンクリートなど
の硬化物で法枠を作り枠の中に植生基盤材等を吹付ける
為、降雨時に雨水はコンクリート法枠の上を流れ植生基
盤材を流失させてしまう事が多く、又、法面が急峻であ
ればこの工法は適用出来なかった。又、厚層基盤材吹付
工法は金網の上に植生基盤材を吹付けて緑化を図る方法
であるが、法面勾配が急峻だと降雨水で厚層基盤材が流
され、時間の経過と共に植物が衰退してしまうことがあ
った。
