Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly guide a rolled stock between rolling rolls by constituting so that a pair of roller holders are engagedly opened/closed by gear connection. CONSTITUTION:Guid rollers 5 are vertically provided, upper and lower roller holders 2 are connected in the gear parts 4 and simultaneously execute opening/ closing motion. So, it is prevented that only one side of the interval between the guide roller is narrowed to the pass line by making the upper roller holder hang down due to the weight of the guide roller 5. And, in the case that the rolled stock is held/guided with the guide rollers 5 by applying the required oil pressure to hydraulic cylinders 8, even when, for example, the movements of the right and left pistons 8 are not equal in the case that equal oil pressure is added, on account of a difference between sliding resistances of a pair of the right and left hydraulic cylinders, the opening/closing amounts of both roller holders are automatically made equal because the roller holders 2 which are brought into contact with the pistons are connected with gears in the gear parts 4.
