Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of defective products when the connection part of a splitting slit is splitted by a method wherein the splitting slit of a flexible plate is partially connected by a connection part, and a reinforcing part is formed on both left and right sides pinching the connection part. CONSTITUTION:A linear inforcing part 7, made of the material same as a conductor pattern 6, is provided on the part on the left and right sides partially pinching a coupled part 4b along the direction of formation of a slit 4. The linear reinforcement part 7, provided on both left and right sides of the partially coupled part 4b, is formed by leaving copper foil on both left and right sides of the partially coupled part 4b when a flexible board conductor pattern 6 is formed by removing the copper foil by etching. As a result, when a part of the flexible board is formed into split pieces by cutting a part of the flexible board after partial mounting, the coupled part of the slit is properly opened by cutting by the action of the linear reinforcement part 7, and the generation of a defective article can be prevented.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a flexible printed circuit board used in a printer such as a word processor is required to have a characteristic that it can be bent and extended as the printer moves. An example of this type of flexible printed circuit board is shown in FIG. In the figure, this flexible printed circuit board is composed of a flexible belt-shaped portion 1 and connecting portions 2 and 3 formed on the left and right sides of the end portion, and the connecting portions 2 and 3 are provided at the center of the belt-shaped portion 1. A slit 4 for dividing left and right is formed in the longitudinal direction. The slits 4 divide the left and right connecting portions 2 and 3 into individual parts, so that the connecting parts 2 and 3 are independently bent and extended. The flexible printed circuit board is assembled by mounting a component (not shown) on the component mounting portion 5 formed at one end of the strip-shaped portion 1 and then using connectors or the like on the left and right connecting portions 2 and 3. Is done. In this case, since the left and right connecting portions are assembled in different bent states, the slits 4 divide the left and right connecting portions into left and right beforehand. Therefore, when mounting the component on the component mounting portion 5 of the strip-shaped portion 1 in the assembly of the flexible printed circuit board,
Since the left and right connecting portions 2 and 3 are independently bent and bent (dangled), there is a problem that it is difficult to mount components. In FIG. 8, 6 is a conductor pattern made of a conductor formed by etching a copper foil.

In order to solve the above problems, there has been proposed a flexible printed circuit board in which perforated slits 4a are formed in place of the slits 4 of FIG. 8 as shown in FIG. In this flexible printed circuit board, the left and right connecting portions are divided in a state of being connected to each other by the partial connecting portion 4b of the perforation slit 4a. Each of them does not bend and bend independently and does not have the drawbacks of the flexible printed circuit board shown in FIG.
That is, the flexible printed circuit board shown in FIG.
After mounting the components, the perforation slit 4a is cut open and the connecting portion 4b is partially cut off to separate the left and right connecting portions 2 and 3 so that they can be independently bent and extended. However, when the partial connection portion 4b of the perforation slit 4 is cut off, the separation may not be properly performed in some cases, and a situation may occur in which a tear is formed diagonally and the conductor of the conductor pattern 6 is cut and damaged.

With this structure, when the partial connecting portion of the perforation slit is separated left and right, the separation is properly controlled by the presence of the reinforcing portion. Therefore, when the partial connection portion of the perforation slit is cut off, there is no possibility that the conductor is damaged due to a diagonal ripping unlike the product shown in FIG.

1 shows an embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a flexible printed circuit board. In the figure, in this flexible printed circuit board, a perforated slit 4a is formed in the central portion of the strip-shaped portion 1 along the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped portion 1, and at the partial connecting portion 4b of the perforated slit 4a, the partial slit 4a is partially formed. Linear reinforcing portions 7 made of the same material as the material for forming the conductor pattern 6 are provided along the direction of forming the perforation slits 4a on both left and right sides of the connecting portion 4b. This is shown in FIG. 2, which is an enlarged view of the circled portion A of FIG. The other parts are similar to those of the flexible printed circuit board shown in FIG. 9, and thus the description thereof will not be repeated. The linear reinforcing portions 7 provided on the left and right sides of the partial connecting portion 4b are partially formed when the conductor pattern 6 of the flexible printed circuit board is formed and the copper foil is removed by etching to form the conductor pattern. It is formed by leaving copper foil on both left and right sides of the connecting portion 4b.

In each of the above embodiments, the linear reinforcing portion 7 is formed by using the copper foil when the conductor pattern 6 is formed by etching, but instead, a reinforcing paint or the like is applied. Even if a reinforcing portion such as a linear reinforcing portion is formed by doing so, there is no problem. Further, although the flexible printed circuit board is described in the above embodiments, the present invention can be applied to flexible boards other than the flexible printed circuit board.

Industrial Applicability As described above, the flexible plate of the present invention is a flexible plate having a slit for cutting to cut a part and divide it into divided pieces.
Partially connected by the connecting portion, since the linear reinforcing portion is formed on the left and right side portions sandwiching the connecting portion, for example, after mounting the component, when cutting a part of the flexible plate into a divided piece, The connecting portion of the slit is properly cut open by the action of the linear reinforcing portion. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a defect that occurs when the connecting portion of the slit is opened without impairing the workability of mounting the components.
