Abstract
Description
Claims (12)
- 1.ヒドロキシピバルデヒド及び3−ヒドロキシ−2,2−ジメチルプロピルヒ ドロキシピバレートの製造方法であって、酸化カドニウム及び酸化イットリウム から成る群から選択された酸化物及び第三アミンを含んで成る触媒の存在下でバ ラホルムアルデヒドとイソブチルアルデヒドとを反応せしめることを含んで成る 方法。
- 2.ネオペンチルグリコールの製造方法であって、ヒドロキシピバルデヒド及び 少なくとも約20%の3−ヒドロキシ−2,2−ジメチルプロピルヒドロキシピ バレートを含む反応生成物を得るために、酸化カドニウム及び酸化イットリウム から成る群から選択された酸化物及び第三アミンを含んで成る触媒の存在下でパ ラホルムアルデヒドとイソブチルアルデヒFとを反応せしめ、そしてその反応生 成物を水素化することを含んで成る方法。
- 3.前記第三アミンがトリエチルアミンである請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。
- 4.前記第三アミンがトリエチルアミンである請求の範囲第2項記載の方法。
- 5.バラホルムアルデヒド:イソブチルアルデヒドの比が約0.11〜約2:1 である請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。
- 6.3−ヒドロキシ−2,2−ジメチルプロピルヒドロキシピバレート/ヒドロ キシピバルデヒド混合物の水素化の前、酸化物触媒を回収する段階を含む請求の 範囲第2項記載の方法。
- 7.前記アミンが式R1R2R3N〔式中、R1,R2及びR3は一般式C1− C15のアルキル基であり、そしてR1及びR2は5〜約15個の炭素原子を有 する置換された又は置換されていない環状基を形成することができる〕を有する 請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。
- 8.前記アミンが式R1R2R3N〔式中、R1,R2及びR3は一般式C1− C15のアルキル基であり、そしてR1及びR2は5〜約15個の炭素原子を有 する置換された又は置換されていない環状基を形成することができる〕を有する 請求の範囲第2項記載の方法。
- 9.前記水素化段階が、(a)ヒドロキシピバルデヒド及び少なくとも20%の HNHPを含む反応生成物と式RR′CHOH〔式中、R及びR′は水素及び1 〜5個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基から成る群から独立して選択される〕で表 されるアルコール少なくとも約20%とを混合し、そして(b)水素化触媒の存 在下で前記混合物と水素とを接触せしめることによって行われる請求の範囲第2 項記載の方法。
- 10.前記アルコールがメタノールである請求の範囲第9項記載の方法。
- 11.前記水素化が約500〜3000psigの圧力及び約100°〜200 ℃の温度で行われる請求の範囲第9項記載の方法。
- 12.前記水素化触媒が亜クロム酸銅を含んで成る請求の範囲第9項記載の方法 。
