Abstract

PURPOSE:To arrange a line directly rolling a continuously cast slab at the high temp. condition at a low cost by providing a ladle lifting drive device and constituting the ladle so as to be possible to deliver between a lifting support body descended on a lifting rail and a ladle conveying means on the floor surface. CONSTITUTION:At the time of pouring the molten metal into a tundish by stopping the ladle 1 supported to one set of the lifting support bodies 15A, 15B through support yorks 17A, 17B to a casting position, by driving the ladle lifting drive devices 20A, 20B, the other lifting support body is descended to the lower part of the supporting frame along the lifting rail 18 from the supporting rail 13B. After delivering the empty ladle to the ladle conveying means 3 on the floor surface, the ladle incorporating the molten metal conveyed on the floor surface through the ladle conveying means 3 is received in the support york and the lifting support body is lifted to the supporting rail 13B from the lifting rail 18 to support the ladle to a swing table 12. After completing the pouring of molten metal in the ladle at the casting position, by rotating the swing table, the new ladle is swingly shifted to the casting position and the pouring of molten metal is started.
