て搬送する装置が用いられる。この装置は、図5に示す
ように、周囲が包装フィルム10で包囲された被搬送物
11を吸着装置12で吸着して搬送するものであり、図
示しない真空ポンプによってカップ状の吸着装置12内
を減圧し包装フィルム10を吸着することによって被搬
送物を持ち上げるようになっている。

う危険がある。この場合、包装フィルムを厚くすればあ
る程度の重量までは対応できるが、吸着面の変形は避け
られず常に落下の危険がある。本発明は前記事項に鑑み
てなされたもので、包装フィルムの強度に関係なく高重
量の被搬送物を吸着搬送できるようにした吸着搬送装置
を提供することを技術的課題とする。

に空気が流通するための切り込み部を形成し、包装フィ
ルムの吸着面が吸引された際、切り込み部から包装フィ
ルム内の空気を吸引しつつ被搬送物が吸着するように構
成したことを技術的手段とする。前記切り込み部は包装
フィルムを曲線状、例えば、半円状に切って形成するこ
とができる。また、前記吸着装置は吸着口を有してお
り、この吸着口の口縁にスポンジゴムのような柔軟性材
を設けると包装フィルムを破損することがなくなる。そ
して、この吸着口の内方に網体を架設すれば包装フィル
ムの過度な吸引が抑制される。

れば、被搬送物自体の吸着強度限界までの重量を持ち上
げることができる。前記切り込み部の形状、大きさ及び
数は、吸着部に空気溜りができず均一に空気が抜ける程
度であれば特に制限はないが、好ましくはその形状を、
曲線状、例えば、半円状に切って形成すれば空気の流通
が極めて円滑となり、減圧状態の包装フィルムの負担を
最小限にできるとともに、搬送以外の状態では略密閉さ
れた状態となるので被搬送物の傷みや汚れを防止でき
る。また、吸着装置の吸着口の口縁にスポンジゴムのよ
うな柔軟性材を設けると包装フィルムを破損することが
なくなる。さらに、この吸着口の内方に網体を架設し、
かつ、網体の吸着装置口縁からの位置を適度に調整する
ことにより包装フィルムの過度な吸引による変形が抑制
され包装フィルムを傷める虞れがない。

【実施例】本発明の実施例を図1ないし図4に基づいて
説明する。被搬送物2は合成ゴムの一種であるEPDM
(エチレン・プロピレン・非共役ジエン共重合体ゴム)
ペレットをプレス成型してなる所謂EPDMベールであ
り、36cm×72cm×50〜200cm程度の大き
さに成型され、重量は10〜35kgとなっている。こ
の被搬送物2は包装フィルム1で包囲され、周囲はヒー
トシールによって密封されている。この包装フィルム1
はポリエチレンフィルム製で厚さは35〜100μmの
ものが用いられている。以上のように被搬送物2を包囲
した包装フィルム1の上面の中央部分は吸着面4となっ
ており、この吸着面4の範囲内に切り込み部5が形成さ
れている。この切り込み部5は図3に示すように、直径
6mmの円に沿った半円状になっており、計6箇所設けら
れている。前記構成になる荷は吸着装置3によって吸着
され、搬送される。吸着装置3はは図示しない産業用ロ
ボットのアーム先端に設けられ、略カップ状に形成され
ておりその底板には空気吸引孔3aが形成されている。
この空気吸引孔3aは図示しない真空ポンプに接続され
ている。そして、この吸着装置3の口縁には環状のスポ
ンジゴムからなる柔軟性材7が設けられている。この柔
軟性材7によって包装フィルムに傷が着き難くしかも被
搬送物2の上面に多少の凹凸があっても空気漏れを防止
できるようになっている。 そして、吸着口の内方には
網体8が架設されている。この網体8は空気吸引孔3a
を塞ぐことを防止するとともにフィルムの変形が起きな
いようにするためのもので、その取り付け位置は柔軟性
材7の下縁から25mmの高さに設定されている。被搬送
物2を搬送するに際しては吸着装置3を吸着面4に吸着
させ、吸着装置3内の圧力を−300〜−400mmHgと
する。すると前記切り込み部5から包装フィルム1内の
空気が吸引され被搬送物が吸着される。この状態で吸着
装置3を垂直または水平方向に移動させ所望の位置まで
搬送する。この場合包装フィルム1には実質的な力は加
わらず、破損することはない。吸引装置は図4に示すよ
うに、真空ポンプPと吸着装置3とを結ぶ配管の途中に
大容量の第1バルブAと第2バルブBとを設けて構成さ
れている。第2バルブBは小容量でしかも開度を高精度
に制御できるものが用いられている。この装置で吸引す
る際は、まず第2バルブBを先に開けて吸着装置3内を
所定圧に減圧した後第1バルブを開ける。これにより搬
送物の形状や重量に関係なく吸引時間等を自在に調整で
き、安定した吸着搬送が可能となった。
