This method has been practiced by seeding seedlings on a small-area seedling mat or a nursery bed, germinating and raising seedlings, and then planting the seedlings. However, with these methods, laborious thinning work is indispensable, so improvement of workability is strongly demanded, and further, as high-priced seeds appear in the market in recent years, it is required to reduce the seeding amount. It was A seeding sheet was developed to meet this requirement (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 1-10591).
No. 8 bulletin). By using this seeding sheet,
A desired number of seeds can be placed on a seedling-raising mat or a nursery bed at desired intervals with high positional accuracy and efficiently, and workability can be improved and seeding amount can be reduced.

Such problems may occur, and improvement thereof has been strongly desired.

In the seeding and raising method, in the lower part of the sheet-shaped support on which seeds are mounted, a water-insoluble sheet-shaped film having holes provided at a site corresponding to the seed-loaded site of the support is placed in a layered manner to grow roots. And the water-insoluble sheet-like film are removed, and then the sheet-like support corresponding to the site other than the above-mentioned holes is removed.

When the seeding and raising seedling sheet using the support is immersed in water, the polysaccharide binder is dissolved in water and the fibers are in a dispersed state, so that the plant seed is in a convenient state for rooting. However, when the water evaporates and dries, the residual fibers are entangled with each other again to form a strong solidified body, which may cause damage to the seedlings during planting and planting. In order to prevent this, it is sufficient to prevent the water-dispersed fibers from remaining across the perforations of the nursery mat and coagulating there. A jig for achieving this purpose is the above-mentioned water-insoluble sheet-like film, and the usage method thereof will be specifically described below.

The thickness of the polymer film is determined in consideration of the difficulty of handling operation and the permeability of water into water-soluble paper. Although it depends on the type of film, a film having a thickness of about 20 to 200 μm can be used, and a film having a thickness of 50 to 150 μm is particularly suitable for handling. At the time of sowing, first, the water-insoluble sheet-like film is placed on the seedling raising mat, and the seeding sheet is placed thereon.
When the non-water-soluble sheet-like film is lifted from the seedling-growing mat after the seeding sheet absorbs water and gels, the water-soluble paper corresponding to the part with seeds remains on the seedling-growing mat,
The water-soluble paper in the perforations corresponding to the area around the holes of the water-insoluble sheet-like film can be removed together with the water-insoluble sheet-like film, and a dispersion of water-soluble paper in the same shape as the holes with seeds on the seedling mat. Will remain.

The use of, for example, a black sheet that does not transmit visible light can prevent the generation of algae during seedling raising. Generation of algae is unavoidable when the plant is hydroponically grown using a nursery mat, but by using a visible light impermeable film as the water-insoluble sheet-like film, the generation of algae is minimized. It is possible to control and to give light only to the places necessary for plant growth.

The water-insoluble sheet-like film 1 on the seedling mat 4
Was placed so that the center of each opening 2 was at the center of each block surrounded by perforations of the seedling raising mat. Then, a seeding sheet having salad vegetable seeds mounted thereon was placed thereon so that the seeds were placed on the opening 2. Finally, water was sprayed from above to sprout the salad vegetables, and the roots were grown until the roots appeared at the bottom of the nursery mat floor 4. at this point,
The water-soluble support 3 around the perforations 5 was removed together with the water-insoluble sheet film 1. The situation is as shown in FIG. 3, and by removing the water-soluble support 7 around the perforations 5, the roots of the salad vegetable seedlings were not damaged when the seedling-growing mat 4 was cut along the perforations 5.
