Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily remove spatters with the weak sticking force even if the spatters stick to the work surface by injecting a spatter sticking preventive liquid on the work surface surrounding a weld zone and performing weldiong before this sticking preventive liquid is dried. CONSTITUTION:In a welding robot 1 for arc welding provided with a column 2 and an arm 3, a spray device 4 to inject spray S of the spatter sticking preventive liquid is fitted on the tip of this arm 3. A wire holder 5 is fitted adjacently to this spray device 4, a welding wire 6 as a consumable electrode is held on this holder 5 and this welding wire is supplied successively from a delivering device 7. A controller 9 controls the robot 1 and an apparatus attached to this. Consequently, the spatter sticking preventive liquid is injected and welding is performed before this stuck liquid is dried. Accordingly, even if the spatters scatter and stick to the work surface, these can be scraped off by a wire brush, etc.

2. Description of the Related Art In arc welding, spatter scattered during welding is apt to adhere to the surface of a work in a fairly wide range, and in order to remove the adhered spatter, it must be separated by hitting it with a tool such as a chisel. Not only is it easy to scratch the work surface, it also requires a great deal of labor. Further, there is also known a means in which a spatter adhesion preventing liquid in which a synthetic resin, a surfactant and the like are mixed with water is hand-painted on a work surface with a brush, and the adhesion preventing liquid is dried before welding. Since the anti-adhesion effect is not always sufficient and non-uniform coating is apt to occur by hand coating, it is not possible to sufficiently prevent the adhesion of spatter. In addition, blow-holes may easily occur in the welded portion due to the anti-adhesion liquid.
As described in the specification of Japanese Patent No. 7691, a means for stopping the use of the spatter adhesion preventing agent and scraping off the adhered spatter with a brush is considered. However, it is considered that it is extremely difficult in practice to scrape off the spatter once attached with a brush.

The present invention focuses on the fact that when the surface of the work is wet with the anti-spatter adhesion liquid, the anti-adhesion liquid has a high anti-adhesion effect and can be easily removed even if spatter adheres. The present invention has been devised as a result, and an object is to enable easy and quick removal of spatter.

Means for Solving the Problems In the present invention, the means for solving the above-mentioned problems are a robot for holding and operating a welding electrode on an arm, and a spray for applying a spatter adhesion preventing liquid, which is mounted near the electrode. And a control device for spraying the spatter adhesion preventing liquid onto the surface of the work by the spray device, and then performing a welding operation by the electrode within an undried time of the spatter adhesion preventing liquid. .

Since the above means is provided, the spatter adhesion preventive agent is applied to the surface of the work just before welding, and the welding operation is performed before it is dried. Therefore, even if the spatter is scattered, it will drop onto the surface of the work that has been wet with the spatter adhesion preventing liquid, and will not adhere firmly to the work and can be easily removed.

Prior to this welding, the spray device 4 sprays a spatter adhesion preventing liquid onto the surface of the flange plate 22, and welding is performed before the adhesion preventing liquid dries. Since the flange plate 22 is heated by welding heat, the injection of the anti-adhesion liquid is performed every time each hole is welded, or collectively in a range where it does not dry.
