<Function> When loading the above-mentioned container onto a cargo handling vehicle, the front part of the container is lifted up by the cargo handling vehicle side connecting member via the container side connecting member, and the container side movable member at the front of the container is moved to the cargo handling vehicle side. The container is held stationary relative to the ground by a member, and the resulting downward movement of the container-side movable member relative to the rising container body is transmitted to the support member at the rear of the container by a transmission means. The rear support member is made to protrude downward relative to the container body to lift the rear part of the container body.
Then, the front part of the container main body, which is lifted by the cargo handling vehicle side connecting member via the container side connecting member, and the rear part of the container, which is lifted by the support member, are synchronized and raised in a horizontal position. When the height of the container and the height of the vehicle body become the same height, the support member supports the rear part of the container on the ground, and the cargo handling vehicle side connection member pulls the container side connection member forward. Then, the container is advanced onto the body of the cargo handling vehicle. Thereafter, the cargo handling vehicle side movable member is raised by the cargo handling vehicle side movable member driving means, thereby raising the container side movable member and lifting the support member from the ground. Further, when lowering the container to the ground, the container can be lowered to the ground while maintaining a horizontal attitude by performing the operation opposite to the above-described operation.
