Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively clean and wipe a stained surface by using the front and rear surfaces of one sheet of cloth and selectively using these surfaces according to the degrees of the staining by dust. CONSTITUTION:The heavy cloth is formed by constituting its surface with a woven and knitted fabric 2 having pile ridge lines on the front surface side and the other surface with a nonwoven fabric 3. The yarn forming such pile ridge lines 6 and the fibers of the nonwoven fabric 3 are constituted with extremely fine fibers formed by splitting divided type composite fibers, by which the durable cloth 1 for cleaning provided with the respectively different and excellent wiping functions on the woven and knitted fabric 2 side surface and the nonwoven fabric 3 side surface is formed. Then, the pile ridge lines 6 on the woven and knitted fabric 2 side have the excellent function to remove particularly the relatively large dust and a large amt. of the dust and the nonwoven fabric 3 side has the excellent function to remove a small amt. of the fine dust and, therefore, this cloth exhibits a remarkable effect as the cloth for cleaning, wiping and polishing articles having large cleaning areas, such as windshields and bodies of automobiles.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a soft cloth has been mainly used for cleaning various articles.
As can be seen in Japanese Patent No. 0419, fibers having an oblateness of 2.5 or more are used for cleaning glass products and precision equipment at 25% by weight or more.
Cloth of ultrafine fibers having a surface area of 5000 cm 2 or more per g, or fibers composed of 40 to 75% by weight of cellulose fibers and 60 to 25% by weight of fibrillated composite fibers containing polyester as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-54052. It has come to be used that the structure is provided with 2 to 8% by weight of the alkali metal hydroxide based on the weight of the fiber by the padding method, and the cellulosic fiber is scoured and the composite fiber is fibrillated at the same time.

However, the conventional cleaning cloth using the above-mentioned ultrafine fibers has a soft texture and is excellent in wiping characteristics and dust removing ability, but the cloth is thin, so that a large amount of dust can be wiped off. Since the treatment is almost impossible and the cleaning power is reduced in a short period of time depending on the frequency of use, it is not suitable for cleaning a vast surface such as an automobile body or window glass.

The splittable conjugate fiber is a fiber composed of a polymer or copolymer of two or more components, for example, polyethylene, polypropylene, polymethylpentene, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. Polyolefin-based polymers or copolymers such as coalesces, polyester-based polymers or copolymers such as polyethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate, polyamide-based polymers or copolymers such as nylon 6 nylon 66 and nylon 12, polyvinyl chloride Can be appropriately selected from polymers or copolymers such as, but is not limited thereto. The sectional form of the splittable conjugate fiber is not particularly limited, but the radial type is preferred.

Melt composite extrusion spinning is performed on at least two components of polymers selected from the above polymers or copolymers at a composite ratio of 2: 8 to 8: 2, and then in boiling water, steam or heated gas. Alternatively, it is drawn at a temperature of 90 to 150 ° C. at a temperature of 90 to 150 ° C. by a factor of 2 to 10 to obtain a thickness of 1 to 9 denier, and then cut into a desired length, or a tow state.

The woven or knitted fabric is made by forming the above-described tow into staples, and woven or knitted as spun yarn by the ring spinning method or the Parlock spinning method. In this case, less than 50% by weight of other fibers may be mixed to form a mixed yarn and woven. . Other fibers to be mixed may be appropriately selected from natural fibers, semi-synthetic fibers and various kinds of synthetic fibers. Further, 100% by weight of the above splittable conjugate fiber and 100% by weight of other fibers are used. A woven or knitted fabric may be used in combination. In this case, it is preferable to use the former spun yarn in the woven or knitted fabric in an amount of 50% by weight or more and the latter spun yarn in an amount of less than 50% by weight.

The structure of the woven or knitted fabric is a structure in which the spun yarn or blended yarn of the above-mentioned splittable conjugate fiber forms a ridge in the longitudinal direction of one side of the woven or knitted fabric and swells, for example, a spun yarn of splittable conjugate fiber. It is desirable to have a structure that is used for pile yarns and that the pile appears in the form of vertical ribs, and if the back surface also has a pile structure, it is more desirable to integrally bond the nonwoven fabric. May be brushed.

The woven or knitted fabric obtained above is laminated with the above-mentioned nonwoven fabric on the surface (rear surface side) opposite to the surface (front surface side) on which the longitudinal ribs are formed, and the splittable conjugate fiber is divided. The processing for making the material extremely thin and the processing for separating and integrating the two are performed. High pressure liquid method, needle punching method, ultrasonic method, etc. can be considered as the ultrafine method, and high pressure liquid method, needle punching method, etc. can be considered as the method of non-separation and integration. Is preferably a high pressure liquid method, but a needle punching method may be used.

[Function] The woven and knitted ground surface and the non-woven fabric surface are selectively used according to the degree of coarseness and fineness of the dust adhering to the cleaning surface. Since it has an advantageous effect and is heavy, it can handle a large amount of dust and maintain an effective cleaning power for a long period of time. Also,
Since most of the cleaning surface is made of ultrafine fibers, the dust on the object to be cleaned can be wiped off beautifully with relatively little force.
Therefore, dust can be removed efficiently by wiping twice using the front and back surfaces.

As described above, the cleaning cloth of the present invention comprises the heavy woven and knitted fabric having the pile ribs in the longitudinal direction on the front side and the nonwoven fabric integrated on the back side of the woven and knitted fabric. A fabric having a layered structure, wherein at least a pile ridge portion of the woven or knitted fabric is formed into a spun yarn containing 50% by weight or more of splittable conjugate fiber, and the splittable conjugate fiber is divided into fine denier fibers of 0.5 denier or less. The non-woven fabric has a split type composite fiber divided into 0.5
A fiber aggregate containing at least 50% by weight of ultrafine fibers of denier or less, one side provided with vertical pile ribs containing the ultrafine fibers, and the other side provided with a nonwoven fabric containing the ultrafine fibers. Therefore, the pile ribbed surface is effective in wiping and removing relatively large dust or a large amount of dust, and the non-woven cloth surface is effective in wiping delicate dust, for example, in the cleaning work of automobile window glass and body. First, the dust adhering to the pile rib surface is wiped off, and then the final surface is wiped off with the non-woven fabric surface, whereby cleaning can be accomplished quickly and beautifully with a single cleaning cloth. In addition, it has excellent wash resistance, so the cleaning effect lasts for a long time.
