Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an easily usable disinfecting or antibacterial preparation by dissolving or dispersing a liquid antibacterial compound easily liquefiable at ordinary temperature, e.g. ethylene oxide, in a fatty acid ester or paraffin. CONSTITUTION:The objective antibacterial gas or liquid fixation agent is produced by dissolving or dispersing a liquid antibacterial compound which is liquid at ordinary temperature (e.g. ethylene oxide, propylene oxide or ethanol) in a fatty acid ester (e.g. glycerol fatty acid ester, sorbitan fatty acid ester, phospholipid and higher alcohol fatty acid ester). The obtained liquid agent is solidified by cooling or absorbed, included or adsorbed to a gelatinous or solid material to obtain an antibacterial gas or liquid fixation agent. The agent can be used for the disinfection of medical tools in hospitals, etc., or the removal of microorganisms in plants and laboratories. It is also useful for preventing the degradation of various products caused by the proliferation of microorganisms.

Steam sterilization kills microorganisms by heating steam, but there is a risk that the object to be sterilized will be destroyed by heat and moisture. Therefore, mainly for inorganic products such as metal and glass. There are limited drawbacks. Since gas sterilization does not use steam, it can be applied to other materials that are easily affected by heat and moisture, and is particularly suitable for sterilization of products having complicated shapes. In addition, gas sterilization is useful because it accommodates an object to be sterilized in a compartment with a large volume and sterilizes the entire compartment, so it can process a large amount of gas, but a gas cylinder or gas generator is required, However, it could not be easily used. It is known that ethanol, when gasified in a container, adheres to the surface of the articles contained in the container and exerts an antibacterial action to suppress the growth of microorganisms. However, it was difficult to control the gasification rate, and it was hard to say that it was a simple formulation. The reason why the use of antibacterial gas is not convenient is that they all have low boiling points: ethylene oxid is 10.7 ° C, propylene oxid is 34.2 ° C, and ethanol is 78.3.
This is because it is a compound that easily volatilizes at ℃. Therefore, a heavy gas cylinder for housing them and a complicated gasifier were required, so that they could not be used easily. The present invention relates to an antibacterial agent that solves each of the above problems.

The liquid antibacterial compound, which is easily gasified at room temperature, is dissolved or suspended in a fatty acid ester or paraffin, so that its volatility (vaporization rate) is fixed and restricted by the fatty acid ester or paraffin. Therefore, an antibacterial fixed preparation prepared by only dissolving or suspending an antibacterial compound in a fatty acid ester or paraffin is solidified by cooling to a temperature below the freezing point of the fatty acid ester or paraffin and formed into a shaped body such as granules or dice. Can be provided as. Further, a solution or suspension of fatty acid ester or paraffin is further filtered,
Non-woven fabrics, pulp mats, silica gel, activated carbon, oil-absorbing polysaccharides or resins are adsorbed and held on a support or encapsulated to prepare an antibacterial compound fixed preparation, or the liquid antibacterial compound in a closed container at low temperature. A fatty acid ester or paraffin having a melting point of room temperature or higher to, and if necessary, a support such as a polysaccharide, silica gel, activated carbon, diatomaceous earth, pulp mat, nonwoven fabric, or resin, and a melting point of a mixture with the fatty acid ester or paraffin. After heating and mixing as described above, it can be cooled to a temperature below the melting point and taken out as a solid to obtain an antibacterial fixed preparation.
