Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は液体製品を分配するためコラプシブル
シールドコンテナ（collapsible sealed
containers）に関し、更に特定的にはかかるコラ
プシブルコンテナに含まれた柔軟性導通路
（flexible conduit）に関する。
コンテナからの製品の抜き出しを可能とする多
くの典型的なコラプシブルコンテナが先行技術に
おいて入手可能である。上記コンテナの大部分の
ものは、弁に接続された上部部分とコンテナから
抜き出されるべき製品内に位置づけられた下部部
分とを含む細長い円筒形管を含む慣用の浸漬管
（dip tube）を使用する。たとえば、ダニエル、
米国特許第3171571号は、浸漬管を含む慣用のバ
ツグ−イン−ボツクス式（bag‐in‐box type）
の分配パツケージ（dispensing package）を開
示している。
柔軟性バツグ内の浸漬管位置の他の例はクラマ
ー（Kramer）等の米国特許第2859899号により
開示されている。この浸漬管は柔軟性バツグ内に
位置づけられたシロツプ又は他の物質をポンプに
よつてバツグから吸引するための穴
（perforation）を含む。クレードル（Cradle）へ
の米国特許第4286636号は浸漬管の周辺表面にあ
り且つ浸漬管の実質的に全長に沿つて延びている
少なくとも１つのチヤンネルを含む押出成形され
た浸漬管を有するコラプシブルバツグを開示す
る。ポンプにより浸漬管に真空又は吸引がかけら
れるにつれて、先ずコラプシブルバツグ内の空気
のすべてがバツグから抜き出される。次いで液体
製品がコラプシブルバツグから分配されそしてバ
ツグは、もやは液体製品により取囲まれていない
浸漬管の一部のまわりに押しつぶされる
（collapses）。
浸漬管を含む先行技術のコラプシブルコンテナ
の欠点の１つは、浸漬管の挿入を必要とし、従つ
て充填されたコンテナの製造において追加の工程
を必要とするということである。更に、浸漬管及
びコラプシブルコンテナの形状の故に、浸漬管の
挿入は自動化された手段により操作することがで
きずむしろ挿入を手で行なう必要がある。
従つて、本発明の主な目的は、コラプシブルコ
ンテナの実質的に全長に沿つて延びているリブ部
材の対を具備するコラプシブルコンテナのための
内部柔軟性導通路を提供することである。
本発明の他の目的はコラプシブルコンテナの内
表面に一体的に形成することができる導通路を提
供することである。
本発明の他の目的はバツグの形成期間中に挿入
することができそしてコラプシブルコンテナの充
填後何らの操作工程も必要としないコラプシブル
バツグのための柔軟性導通路を提供することであ
る。
本発明の目的はコラプシブルコンテナの内壁に
隣接して配置された柔軟性の実質的に平行なリブ
部材の少なくとも１つの対を提供することにより
達成される。柔軟性リブ部材はコラプシブルバツ
グ内に且つ環状注ぎ口部材（annular spout
member）に実質的に隣接して位置づけられてい
る。最初、コラプシブルバツグ内の空気がバツグ
から抜き出される。次いでコラプシブルバツグ内
に配置された液体製品は隣接リブにより形成され
たチヤンネルを通つて流れ、そしてコラプシブル
バツグはリブ部材のまわりに押しつぶされるであ
ろう。徐々に液体製品がコラプシブルバツグから
除去されるにつれて、バツグは液体製品のすべて
がバツグから分配されるまでリブ部材のまわりに
押しつぶされ続けるであろう。
本発明の他の観点はリブ部材はバツグの製造期
間中、コラプシブルバツグを構成する２つの柔軟
性シート間に配置することができるウエブ上に配
置することができることである。この開発の主要
な利点は、コラプシブルコンテナの製造及び組立
てにおいて並びにバツグの充填及び使用において
実質的操作工程を回避するということである。
本発明の適用可能な範囲は以下の詳細な説明か
ら明らかとなるであろう。しかしながら、発明の
詳細な説明及び特定の実施例は、本発明の好まし
い態様を示しているが、説明としてのみ与えられ
ていることは理解されるべきである。何故なら
ば、本発明の精神の範囲内の種々の変更及び修正
はこの詳細な説明から当業者には明らかであるか
らである。
本発明は、説明としてのみ示され従つて本発明
を何ら限定するものではない添付図面及び下記す
る詳細な説明から更に明らかとなるであろう。
本発明は液体製品を分配するのに使用されるコ
ラプシブルコンテナ１０を指向する。コラプシブ
ルコンテナは後混合飲料システム（post‐mix
beverage system）と組合わせて使用することが
できる。かかる後混合飲料システムはハービル
（Harvill）に対して1977年３月29日に発行されそ
して本願の出願人に譲渡された米国特許第
4014461号に開示されており、この開示は引照に
より本明細書に加入する。
第１図及び第２図に例示された如く、コラプシ
ブルコンテナ１０はそれぞれの周辺１６及び１８
で相互に接合された柔軟性材料１２及び１４のシ
ートの対から成つている。この柔軟性シートは周
辺全体にわたつてシールされた関係において接合
されており、そして熱可塑性材料からつくられた
柔軟性シートの場合においてこれはヒートシール
又は適当な接着剤によつて達成されたシールであ
ることができる。コラプシブルバツグ１０は柔軟
性シート１２を通つて配置されそして環状フラン
ジ２２により柔軟性シート１２に取付けられた環
状注ぎ口又はバツグ付属部品（fitment）２０を
含む。環状注ぎ口２０は吸引システムのカツプリ
ングに嵌合するように適合できる所望の形状であ
ることができる。実際当業者には明らかな如く、
環状注ぎ口２０は非環状形を含めていかなる形状
であることもできる。第２図により詳細に示され
た如く、柔軟性シート１２及び１４は多数のプラ
イ、たとえば２４及び２６より成ることができ
る。好ましい態様においては２プライが使用され
る。プライ２４は２ミルのウエブである。プライ
２４は第２プライ２６に隣接して配置された２ミ
ルのEVAのウエブであり、第２プライ２６は下
記３枚のシート、２ミルEVA、1/2ミル金属化
PET、及び２ミルEVAから、構成された接着さ
れたウエブである。
本発明のコラプシブル容器１０は、第１図に示
されたコラプシブル容器１０の長さにわたり配置
されたリブ３０の少なくとも１つの対を含み、そ
してリブ３０は、環状注ぎ口２０に関連してリブ
３０の対が環状注ぎ口２０の開口２１に実質的に
隣接して通り且つ環状注ぎ口２０の開口２１と一
致して（in line）通るように配置されている。
リブの対が記載されているけれども、十分な高さ
の単一リブ又は突起３０はリブの対と同じ程有効
ではないけれども、本発明の目的を達成するのに
は十分であろう。上記リブ３０は相互に近接して
間隔を置いて配置されている僅かな突起である。
リブ３０は柔軟性シート１４上に押出成形するこ
とができ又は２プライシートの場合に内層２４上
に押出成形することができる。
好ましい態様において、リブ３０は環状注ぎ口
２０が取付けられているところの柔軟性シートに
対向する柔軟性シート上に配置される。しかしな
がら、本発明は環状注ぎ口２０を配置されている
柔軟性シート上にリブを配置することも包含する
ものであり、これは効果的という程ではないけれ
ども先行技術に示されたシステムにまさる有意な
利益を与えることができる。
第３図に示された如く、本発明の他の態様は、
柔軟性シート１２及び１４間に配置されそして環
状注ぎ口２０に隣接しそして環状注ぎ口２０と一
致して配置されたリブ３０の少なくとも１つの対
を含むウエブストリツプ３４を含む。ウエブスト
リツプ３４は柔軟性シート１２及び１４と相溶性
材料からつくられるべきである。たとえば、シー
ト１２及び１４の内側プライがEVAからつくら
れているならば、ウエブストリツプ３４はEVA
又は相溶性材料（たとえば低密度ポリエチレン）
からつくられるべきである。ウエブストリツプ３
４は、バツグの形成期間中、隣接シートがそれら
の周辺で封をされる（secure）とき、柔軟性シー
ト１２及び１４に取付けられ、かくして、たとえ
ば隣接した柔軟性シート１２及び１４のヒートシ
ーリングは柔軟性ストリツプウエブ３４のヒート
シーリング及び固定も達成するであろう。第４図
に示されているのはリブ３０の操作である。柔軟
なコンテナ１０が押しつぶされるときそれは幾分
不均一に押しつぶされて、コンテナ中の液体の残
余から隔離され得る液体のポケツトを残す傾向が
ある。リブ３０は柔軟性シート１２及び１４の壁
上の大気圧によつて閉じられ得ない導通路
（conduit）を形成する。かくして柔軟性バツグの
内側チヤンバ全体は操作期間中常に注ぎ口２０と
連通している。
本発明をこのようにして説明してきたが、本発
明は多くの方法で変更できることは明らかであろ
う。かかる変更は本発明の精神及び範囲からの逸
脱と見なすべきではなくすべてのかかる修正は当
業者には明らかな通り、特許請求の範囲内に包含
されることを意図する。
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は本発明に従うコラプシブルバツグの等
角部分切欠き正面図である。第２図は環状注ぎ口
を含み、該環状注ぎ口に隣接して本発明に従う複
数のリブが配置されているコラプシブルバツグの
拡大部分断面図である。第３図は本発明の態様の
分解図である。第４図は本発明の操作を説明する

Claims (1)

    でヒートシールされている、特許請求の範囲第１
    項記載のバツグ。 ６ バツグの壁は、周辺部分がヒートシールされ
    た２つの分離した壁を含む、特許請求の範囲第１
    項記載のバツグ。 ７ 該注ぎ口が該バツグの壁にヒートシールされ
    ている、特許請求の範囲第１項記載のバツグ。
