【従来の技術】従来、水冷金物の背面にキャスタブルを
圧入して高炉内の高温が高炉の鉄皮7(図5参照)に伝
導することを防止しているが、例えば、図4に示すよう
に水冷金物1の相互間の目地4にシール金物8を取り付
けて圧入時にキャスタブルが目地4から漏洩することを
防止している。また、図5に示すように水冷金物1を高
炉内面に取り付ける前にシール金物8を水冷金物1の高
炉内面側に溶接9にて固定し、シール金物8の背面に発
砲ポリエチレン等のパッキン材10を張り密着性を高め

ル性が確保できず、 圧入したキャスタブルが目地から
漏洩してしまう。加えて高炉休風時の高炉壁補修工事で
は高炉内に作業者が入ることができないため、漏洩を止
める作業が出来ない欠点があった。本発明の目的は、以
上の欠点を解決するために、 100%の確率で漏洩を
防止し、漏洩を止める作業が不要な目地シール方法を提

て説明する。水冷金物1の上面と側面片側に予め、例え
ばV型スタッド3を図1に示すように数箇設置し、例え
ば亀甲金網等を円筒状に巻いた、円筒状金網2を針金で
V型スタッド3に結束し、図1に示すように予め水冷金
物1の上面と側面片側に設置する。水冷金物1が取り付
けられた際、円筒状金網2の外径を目地4の幅より若干
大きくしておけば、円筒状金網2は目地4の中で楕円状
に変形して、図2に示すごとく隣接する水冷金物1の側
面に密着する。全ての水冷金物が取り付けられた後、炉
外からノズル12またはキャスタブル吹き付け機を炉内
に挿入し、図3に示すごとく目地4にキャスタブルを吹
き付け、円筒状金網2にキャスタブル5を付着させ、キ
ャスタブル5が硬化した後に、水冷金物1と高炉鉄皮7
との間に圧入孔11からキャスタブル6を圧入するため
目地4からキャスタブル6が漏洩することはなく、 確
