Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an economical fungicidal composition for agricultural and horticultural use, having synergistic effect, effective at a decreased rate of application and having high safety to environment by mixing two or more kinds of active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective fungicidal composition is a flowable preparation, wettable granule or wettable tablet containing (A) tetrachloroisophthalonitrile and (B) at least one kind of compound selected from hydrated sulfur, procymidone, dimethomorph, streptomycin and polyoxin as active components. The particle size distribution of the solid component is 1-3mum in a state dispersed in water.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Bactericidal agents containing tetrachloroisophthalonitrile (hereinafter referred to as TPN) as an active ingredient have been put to practical use as agents with strong protective and bactericidal effects. In particular, it is widely used as an agricultural and horticultural fungicide for the purpose of controlling diseases of fruit trees and vegetables by spraying it on plants or mixing it with soil.It has a wide bactericidal spectrum and has an extremely low possibility of developing resistant bacteria. In addition, in order to widen the fungicidal spectrum and enable simultaneous control, mixed fungicides of TPN and other fungicidally active compounds, such as methyl 3-(butylcarbamoyl)-3H-benzimidazol-2-yl carbamate (common name A mixed fungicide with Benomyl (benomyl) is used.

On the other hand, hydrated sulfur is highly effective against powdery mildew on fruit trees and vegetables, procymidone, polyoxin, and dimethomorph have not only preventive but also therapeutic effects on diseases of fruit trees and vegetables, and streptomycin is known to have therapeutic effects on bacterial diseases of fruits and vegetables. However, no practically excellent agent is known that is a mixed fungicidal composition containing at least one of these fungicidally active compounds and TPN.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Bactericidal agents containing TPN as an active ingredient mainly have a preventive effect, and no therapeutic effect can be expected at all. In addition, hydrated sulfur targets only a limited number of diseases and has no therapeutic effect. Procymidone, polyoxin, dimethomorph, and streptomycin may cause drug-resistant bacteria, and the target diseases are limited.

[Action] In the case of a mixture of two or more types of TPN and polyoxin, procymidone or dimethomorph, the bactericidal spectrum is broadened, it has both preventive and therapeutic effects, and is also effective against resistant bacteria. In the case of a two-part mixture of TPN and a sulfur-based fungicide, the spectrum is widened and the residual effect is long. A two-part mixture of TPN and streptomycin is effective against not only filamentous fungi but also bacterial diseases.

[0023] Furthermore, the particle size of the present invention is 1 μm to 3 μm.
By doing so, the dispersibility is greatly improved compared to conventional hydrating agents, and because the drug is evenly distributed on the leaf surface, the efficacy is also greatly improved, and a synergistic effect is observed.

Furthermore, since the composition of the present invention is in the form of a flowable agent, a wettable powder, or a wettable tablet, the following can be considered. Since the flowable agent is already dispersed in the liquid, it is difficult to aggregate in the dilution water, and the optimized particle size can be maintained as it is.There is no need to add other solids as a diluent, so the decomposition effect of solids is reduced. can be avoided. These things allow the active ingredients to act extremely efficiently and improve the pesticidal effect. When actually used, it has excellent dispersibility in water, so it mixes easily with water and makes it easy to prepare a spray liquid. Because of its excellent suspension properties, the prepared chemical solution can remain in a uniform suspended state for a long period of time, and can be sprayed at a predetermined concentration from the start to the end of spraying. Clogging during spraying will no longer be a problem.
