【産業上の利用分野】本発明は消火に使用される化合物
に関するものであり、特に、ハイドロジェノフルオロア

【従来の技術】消炎・消火の分野ではクロロブロモフル
オロアルカンとブロモフルオロアルカンが主として使用
されており、特に、ブロモトリフルオロメタン、ブロモ
クロロジフルオロメタンおよび １，２−ジブロモ−１
，１，２，２−テトラフルオロエタンが使用されている
。これらの化合物は消炎効果が極めて高く、しかも、人
体に対する毒性も極めて低いので、人間を避難させるの
が困難な場所を保護するために使用されている。これら
の化合物は、さらに、腐食しやすい電気装置や電子装置
のある場所（情報室、電話局）でも使用されている。し
かし、これらの化合物は一定の放射線に対して人間を保
護をする成層圏のオゾン層を減少させる原因になると考
えられており、そのＯＤＰ（ｏｚｏｎｅ ｄｅｐｌｅｔ
ｉｏｎｐｏｔｅｎｔｉａｌ） （オゾン破壊効果） が
大きい。このことはモントリオール決議書にも記載され
ている。この決議書は環境問題に対する最近の国際的議
論の結果作られたもので、署名国はこれらの化合物の製
造と消費を減す努力しなければならない。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の提供する消炎剤
化合物は下記の式（Ｉ）の化合物 （ただしテトラフル
オロエタンとペンタフルオロエタンを除く）によって構
成される消炎剤である：Ｃｎ Ｈｍ Ｆｘ
（Ｉ） （ここで、ｎ
は１〜６の整数であり、ｍとｘは１以上の整数であり、
ｍ＋ｘの和は２ｎまたは２ｎ＋２である） 。
化合物は下記の式（Ｉ）の化合物 （ただしテトラフル
オロエタンとペンタフルオロエタンを除く）によって構
成される消炎剤である：Ｃｎ Ｈｍ Ｆｘ
（Ｉ） （ここで、ｎ
は１〜６の整数であり、ｍとｘは１以上の整数であり、
ｍ＋ｘの和は２ｎまたは２ｎ＋２である） 。
【０００５】式 （Ｉ）の化合物の中ではｍが１または
２の化合物が好ましい。式 （Ｉ）の化合物の中では特
に、１，１，１，２，３，３，３−ヘプタフルオロプロ
パン、１，１，１，２，２，３，３，４，４−ノナフル
オロブタンおよび １，１，１，３，３，３−ヘキサフ
ルオロプロパンが挙げられる。

パン、１，１，１，２，２，３，３，４，４−ノナフル

【０００６】消炎効果は一般に、いわゆるカップバーナ
ー（Ｃｕｐ Ｂｕｒｎｅｒ）法によって測定される。こ
の方法は、燃焼中の可燃性液体を消火するのに必要な消
炎性化合物（容量で測定）の空気と消炎性化合物との混
合物中での最小のパーセンテージで表わされる。従って
、カップバーナー値が低いほど、その消炎性化合物の消
炎効果は優れている。本発明の化合物のカップバーナー
値は低く（一般に１０％以下）、従って、消炎効果が大
きい。これに対して、現在最も広く使用されている消炎
剤の１つである例えばトリフルオロブロモメタンはカッ
プバーナー値が４．２ ％であるが、モントリオール決
議書では、オゾン破壊の原因物質として挙げられている
。本発明の化合物の利点はＯＤＰが零であることである
。これは成層圏のオゾン層を破壊する作用がないという
ことを意味している。ＯＤＰは、ある物質の単位質量を
放出した際に破壊されるオゾン層の低下量と同じ方法で
測定した基準としてのトリクロロフルオロメタン（ＯＤ
Ｐ＝１）によるオゾン層の低下量との比として定義され
る。本発明の化合物は腐食性が低く、ヒトに対する毒性
は低い。本発明の化合物は、公知のトリフルオロブロモ
メタンとジフルオロブロモクロロメタンと同様な方法で
消火に使用することができ、いわゆる完全注水法によっ
て局所を保護するのに使用することができる。また、本
発明の化合物は、窒素またはテトラフルオロメタン等の
不活性ガスで加圧することができるので、放出速度を高
くすることができる。本発明の化合物はさらに携帯用消
火器で使用することもできる。以下、本発明の実施例を
説明する。

- 【請求項１】下記の式 （Ｉ）の化合物 （ただし、テ

よって構成される消炎剤： Ｃｎ Ｈｍ Ｆｘ
（Ｉ） （ここで、ｎは１〜６の整数であり、ｍと
ｘは１以上の整数であり、ｍ＋ｘの和は２ｎまたは２ｎ
＋２である） 。 - 【請求項２】式 （Ｉ）のｍが１または２である化合物
によって構成される請求項１に記載の消炎剤。 - 【請求項３】上記化合物が １，１，１，２，３，３，
３−ヘプタフルオロプロパンである請求項１に記載の消
炎剤。 - 【請求項４】上記化合物が １，１，１，２，２，３，
３，４，４−ノナフルオロブタンである請求項１に記載
の消炎剤。
