[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the above-mentioned conventional automatic banknote deposit/dispensing device, since the banknotes are conveyed in one direction on the conveyance path, it is difficult to distinguish the denomination from the banknote deposit/dispensing port through the discrimination section. It is necessary to separately provide a transport path for banknotes for deposit stored in the safe and a transport path for banknotes for withdrawal, which are drawn out from the safe by denomination and passed through the discrimination unit and discharged to the banknote deposit and withdrawal slot. There is a problem in that the conveyance path is complicatedly curved and the entire device becomes large. Furthermore, since the conveyance path is complicatedly curved, there is a problem in that jams are likely to occur during conveyance of banknotes. Furthermore, when a jam occurs, in order to remove it, a bank employee or maintenance worker must check all the complicated transportation routes and remove the remaining banknotes, which poses the problem of requiring a lot of maintenance.
Moreover, the apparatus is stopped while the jam is being removed, making maintenance time-consuming and time-consuming, causing a great deal of inconvenience to customers. The present invention was made to solve these problems, and by sharing the transport route for deposits and withdrawals, the banknote transport route is formed in a straight line, making it compact and easy to maintain. The purpose is to provide a good banknote automatic deposit and withdrawal device.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve this object, the present invention counts and distinguishes the banknotes that a customer inserts into a banknote deposit/withdrawal slot in a discriminating section, and determines that the banknotes are suitable for deposit. A deposit transaction function that deposits banknotes by storing them in safes of different denominations, and a function that dispenses stored banknotes from safes of different denominations according to the amount specified by the customer, counts and distinguishes them in a discrimination department, and then withdraws money. In an automatic banknote deposit/withdrawal device having a dispensing function of discharging banknotes that have been discriminated as suitable for the banknote into the banknote deposit/withdrawal port and withdraw money, the banknotes pass through the discrimination section from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port and are classified by denomination. A nearly linear conveyance path leading to a safe, and a driving means for driving the conveyance path so as to switch the direction of conveyance of banknotes in the conveyance path between forward and reverse directions, are provided, and the safe is separated by banknotes from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port through the discrimination unit. By switching the conveyance direction of the banknotes on the conveyance path by the driving means, the banknotes conveyed from the banknotes of different denominations and the banknotes fed out from the safes of different denominations and discharged to the banknote deposit/withdrawal slot through the discrimination section are transferred to the same conveyance path. It is characterized by being transported by.

[Function] In the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration, during a deposit transaction, the driving means drives a conveyance path so that the bill passes from the bill deposit/withdrawal port, passes through the discrimination section, and is stored in a safe for each denomination. The banknotes inserted into the mouth are counted and verified in the verification section, and those suitable for deposit are stored in safes for different denominations. In addition, during a withdrawal transaction, the driving means drives the conveyance path so that the banknotes are fed out from the safes of different denominations, passed through the discrimination section, and released into the banknote deposit/withdrawal slot. The banknotes are fed out, counted and verified by the discrimination section, and those suitable for withdrawal are discharged from the banknote deposit/withdrawal slot. In this way, by switching the transport direction of banknotes on the transport path between forward and reverse directions using the drive means, the transport path from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port, through the discrimination section, to the safe for each denomination can be shared between depositing and withdrawing. Therefore, the conveyance path can be simply arranged in a substantially straight line, and the apparatus can be made smaller. Also,
Since the conveyance path is substantially straight, the occurrence of jams can be reduced, and even if jams occur, they can be easily removed.

The operation of the above-mentioned embodiment will be explained below. FIG. 2 is a schematic side sectional view showing the flow of banknotes during a deposit transaction in the automatic banknote deposit and withdrawal device of this embodiment. When a customer inserts a bill into the bill deposit/withdrawal port 2, the motor 19 rotates forward (here, the rotation of the motor 19 that drives the conveyance path 18 so as to convey the bill from the bill deposit/withdrawal port 2 to the validation section 3). (This is referred to as forward rotation.) Then, the sheets are separated one by one by a pick-up roller, a separation roller, etc. (not shown), and sent to the conveyance path 18a, and sent to the discrimination section 3. The discrimination section 3 determines whether the banknote has been sent normally, that is, whether there is any skew in the banknote, whether the banknote is conveyed abnormally, whether the banknote is genuine or not, whether it is fit or not, and the denomination. Here, the banknotes determined to be skewed or counterfeit by the discrimination section 3 are conveyed to the deposit reject box 8a through the conveyance path 18c guided by a blade (not shown), and after the discrimination of all the banknotes is completed, returned to the customer. On the other hand, the banknotes that have been normally conveyed by the discrimination section 3 and are discriminated as genuine bills are conveyed to safes 4 to 6 by denomination through the conveyance path 18b. Here, the banknotes that have been identified as genuine 10,000 yen notes or 1,000 yen notes that can be reused for withdrawal are transferred to the temporary holding section 9 by operating a blade (not shown) and depositing the 10,000 yen notes into the temporary holding section 9. Accumulate in Genuine 1,000 yen bills are accumulated in the temporary holding section 10 by the accumulating means 13a by operating a blade (not shown). The banknotes that are determined to be unfit 5,000 yen bills, 10,000 yen bills, and 1,000 yen bills, which are not to be circulated, are accumulated in the temporary holding section 11 by the accumulating means 14a by operating a blade (not shown). Then, the total amount of banknotes accumulated in these temporary storage units 9 to 11 is displayed to the customer on a display unit (not shown), and when the customer sees this and presses a key to approve the transaction on an operation unit (not shown), Partition plates (not shown) that partition the inside of the safe 4, thousand coupon safe 5, and deposit safe 6 from the temporary storage sections 9, 10, and 11, respectively, are evacuated, and the temporary storage sections 9 to 11 are separated from each other.
The accumulated banknotes are stored in the safes 4 to 6.

[0017] In addition, during the collection operation, if a full detector (not shown) of the bulk safe 7 detects a full state, the collection operation is interrupted.
The information is sent back to a control section (not shown). The control section displays this on a display section (not shown) as "collective safe full" and instructs the bank employee to collect the banknotes stored in the collective safe 7. In response to this, the bank employee opens a door (not shown) provided on the maintenance side of the automatic bill depositing and dispensing device 1, pulls out the bulk safe 7 from the automatic bill depositing and dispensing device 1, and uses the audit key to open the bulk safe 7 door. Open it and take out all the collected banknotes. The empty bulk safe 7 is set in the banknote automatic depositing and dispensing device 1 by closing the door and performing the reverse procedure to the above, and when the door of the banknote automatic depositing and dispensing device 1 is closed, the collection operation can be performed again. After completing the above process, the automatic banknote deposit/withdrawal device 1 returns a response indicating completion of collection, and adds the number of banknotes collected for each denomination as data. Upon receiving this, the control section counts and stores the number of collected sheets. This completes the collection operation process.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the present invention counts and distinguishes the banknotes that the customer inserts into the banknote deposit/withdrawal slot in the discriminating section, and divides the banknotes that are determined to be suitable for deposit by denomination. There is a deposit transaction function that deposits money by storing it in a safe, and a banknote is dispensed from the safe according to the denomination type according to the amount specified by the customer, counted and discriminated by a discrimination department, and determined to be suitable for withdrawal. In an automatic banknote deposit/withdrawal device having a dispensing function for discharging verified banknotes to the banknote deposit/withdrawal port and withdraw money, a substantially straight line from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port passes through the discrimination section to a safe for each denomination. A drive means is provided for driving the conveyance path so as to switch the conveyance direction of the banknotes in the forward and reverse directions in the conveyance path, and the banknotes are conveyed from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port through the discrimination section to the safes of different denominations. and banknotes that are paid out from safes for different denominations, pass through the discrimination section, and are discharged to the banknote deposit/withdrawal slot, are conveyed through the same conveyance path by switching the conveyance direction of the banknotes on the conveyance path by the driving means. This is what I did. According to this, by switching the conveyance direction of banknotes on the conveyance path between forward and reverse directions by the driving means, the conveyance path from the banknote deposit/withdrawal port, through the discrimination section, to the safe for each denomination can be changed at the time of deposit and withdrawal. Since they can be shared, the transport path can simply be arranged in a nearly straight line.
This has the effect that the device can be made smaller. Furthermore, since the conveyance path is substantially straight, the occurrence of jams can be reduced, and even if jams occur, they can be easily removed.
