Description

【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional banknote handling apparatus described above has the following problems.
That is, in the deposit process, if there is a half-folded banknote folded in the short direction in the banknote inserted by the customer into the customer service, this half-folded banknote is treated as a reject banknote by discrimination at the discrimination section. After being collected in the reject stacking unit, it will be returned to the customer entrance and returned to the customer, but it is shorter than a normal banknote, so the normal separation provided in the reject stacking unit In some cases, the feeding means cannot be fed out, and in that case, since it cannot be returned to the customer, it is necessary to stop the apparatus and investigate.
[0006]
As a measure for solving such a problem, the reject stacking unit is provided with a sensor for detecting a half-folded banknote, and a feeding means dedicated to the half-folded banknote is provided, and the sensor detects the half-folded banknote. However, there are some that use half-fold banknotes to be fed out by a dedicated feeding means. However, when such a dedicated feeding means is provided, there is a problem that the cost increases due to the increase in the number of parts and the mechanism and the size of the apparatus increases. In view of the fact that the operation frequency of the dedicated feeding means is low, it is not possible to make a profit.
[0007]
In addition, regardless of whether or not a feeding means dedicated to half-folded banknotes is provided, in the conventional banknote processing apparatus, the transport path from the customer service port to the rejecting stacking section can be transported by half-folded banknotes. Thus, it is necessary to set the arrangement pitch of the conveyance rollers forming the conveyance path, and there is a problem that the number of rollers increases and the cost increases.
Therefore, this invention makes it a subject to implement | achieve the banknote processing apparatus with a simple structure and easy return processing of a half-folded banknote.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, the present invention provides a customer service entrance through which a customer inserts banknotes at the time of a deposit transaction, a discrimination unit for discriminating banknotes, and a first temporary storage unit for temporarily holding banknotes identified as depositable by this discrimination unit. And a second temporary holding unit for temporarily holding banknotes identified as non-payable by the discrimination unit, and a first transport provided from the customer service port to the exit through the entrance of the discrimination unit In a banknote handling apparatus comprising a path and a second transport path provided so as to reach the first and second temporary storage sections from the exit of the discrimination section, The detecting means for detecting the half-folded banknote folded in the short direction is provided in the first transport path, and at least the first transport path is stopped when the detecting means detects the half-folded banknote. Then, turn the banknote transport direction in the first transport path in the opposite direction. Instead, the setting control means for controlling so that the banknotes of the first conveying path comprising a semi-folded paper currency sent back to the customer port only, and, when returning the bill from the customer port, in the return bill characterized in that the customer operation display unit for displaying that the semi-folded paper there was only set in.

[0024]
First, after a customer selects a deposit transaction at the customer operation unit 20 and a shutter (not shown) of the customer service port 6 is opened, when the customer inputs a banknote for deposit into the customer service port 6, the shutter closes, and a separation means (not shown) Thus, banknotes are fed out one by one from the customer service port 6 to the transport path 18a.
The fed banknotes are sent to the discrimination unit 5 through the transport path 18a, and the discrimination unit 5 discriminates denominations, authenticity, front and back, etc., and also detects conveyance abnormalities such as banknote skewing and overlapping feeding. Done.
[0025]
As a result of the discrimination, the banknotes discriminated from the fake bills or the banknotes in which the conveyance abnormality is detected are transported as the deposit reject banknotes by the transport path 18b, and are stacked on the shutter 4b of the temporary storage unit 11 by the feeding and stacking unit 11a.
On the other hand, the banknotes discriminated as genuine bills by the discrimination unit 5 are counted for each denomination, conveyed by the conveyance path 18b, and accumulated on the shutter 10b of the temporary storage unit 10 by the feeding and accumulating unit 10a.
[0026]
After all the banknotes that the customer has inserted into the customer service port 6 are identified and accumulated in the temporary holding section 10 or the temporary holding section 11, the deposited reject banknotes accumulated in the temporary holding section 11 are conveyed by the feeding and stacking means 11a. It is fed out to the path 18b, transported in this order from the transport path 18b to the transport path 18a, sent back to the customer service port 6, and then returned to the customer.
[0027]
When it is confirmed that the customer has received the reject banknote, the amount of the banknote accumulated in the temporary holding unit 10 is displayed on the display unit of the customer operation unit 20 to prompt the customer to confirm, and the customer presses the confirmation button. Payment is confirmed by pressing.
In this case, the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 may be only 10,000, 1000, 5,000, or a mixture of two or more denominations. The accumulated banknotes are stored in the following manner after payment is confirmed according to the denomination and the mixed state.
[0028]
For example, when the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are only 10,000 banknotes and only banknotes discriminated from the table by the discrimination unit 5, the shutter 10b of the temporary storage unit 10 is opened, whereby the banknotes are deposited and withdrawn as they are. It falls into the storage case 3 and is stacked on the banknotes on the stage 3a.
In addition, when the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are only one thousand bills, the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are fed out to the transport path 18b by the feeding and stacking unit 10a, and on the shutter 11b of the temporary storage unit 11 Then, the shutter 11b is opened, whereby the banknotes are dropped into the deposit / withdrawal storage 4 and stacked on the banknotes on the stage 4a.
[0029]
On the other hand, when the banknotes accumulated in the temporary holding unit 10 are only 5,000 tickets, the banknotes accumulated in the temporary holding unit 10 are fed out to the transport path 18b by the feed stacking means 10a and rejected by the transport path 18c. It is conveyed to the storage unit 9b and sent to and stored in the reject banknote storage unit 9b.
Further, when two or more denominations of the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are mixed, the banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are fed out to the transport path 18b by the unwinding and accumulating means 10a, and this transport path 18b. And then sent back to the customer service port 6 through the transport path 18a and accumulated.
[0030]
Thereafter, the banknotes are fed one by one from the customer service port 6 to the transport path 18a by the separating means, and the fed banknotes are sent to the discrimination unit 5 through the transport path 18a, and re-discrimination such as denomination and front / back is performed.
As a result, banknotes of ten thousand tickets are sent to the temporary storage unit 10 by the conveyance path 18b, and are stacked on the shutter 10b of the temporary storage unit 10 by the feeding and stacking unit 10a.
[0031]
In addition, the banknotes of the thousand tickets are sent to the temporary storage unit 11 by the conveyance path 18b, and are stacked on the shutter 11b of the temporary storage unit 11 by the feeding and stacking unit 11a.
Banknotes of 10,000 and 1,000 tickets that have been distinguished from the back pass through the route B and are collected by the collecting means 13 in the collecting unit 16 of the collective storage 7.
Furthermore, the banknotes discriminated from five thousand tickets are transported to the reject banknote storage unit 9b through the transport paths 18b and 18c, and are sent to and stored in the reject banknote storage unit 9b.
[0032]
And after all the banknotes of the customer service opening 6 are drawn out and accumulated in the temporary holding unit 10 or the temporary holding unit 11, the shutters 10b and 11b of the temporary holding units 10 and 11 are opened, whereby the temporary holding units 10 and 11 are opened. Are dropped into the deposit / withdrawal storages 3 and 4 as they are and stacked on the bills on the stages 3a and 4a.
The above is the normal deposit processing operation. Next, the operation of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0033]

In a deposit transaction, after a shutter (not shown) of the customer service port 6 is opened, when a customer inserts a banknote for deposit into the customer service port 6, the shutter is closed, and a banknote is conveyed one by one from the customer service port 6 by a separating means (not shown). it fed out for the road-18a are as previously mentioned, that is closer to a position in customer port 6 of the conveyance path 18a have sensor 51 is provided, the sensor 51 detects the passage of each note.
[0034]
The detection circuit 46 shown in FIG. 2 detects the length of the banknote based on the detection output from the sensor 51.
When the detection circuit 46 detects the half-folded bill 52a having a short length shown in FIG. 3, the control unit 32 stops only the transport path 18a.
At this time, it is assumed that banknotes 52b and 52c exist in the transport path 18a in addition to the banknote 52a, and banknotes 52d and 52e exist in the transport path 18b.
[0035]
And it is assumed that the banknotes 52f and 52h exist in the temporary storage part 10, the banknote 52g exists in the temporary storage part 11, and the banknote 52i exists in the customer service port 6. FIG.
After stopping the transport path 18a as described above, the control unit 32 switches the transport direction of the transport path 18a to the reverse direction.
As a result, the half-folded banknote 52a and the banknotes 52b and 52c existing in the transport path 18a are reversely fed as shown in FIG. 4 and sent back to the customer service port 6, and are collected together with the banknotes 52i present at the customer service port 6. Is done.
[0036]
On the other hand, since the banknotes 52d and 52e existing in the transport path 18b and the banknote 52f in the middle of the temporary storage unit 10 are already collected, the discrimination in the discrimination unit 5 has already been completed. each of the shutter over 10b of 11, integrated on 11b.
After that, the deposit reject banknotes 52g accumulated on the shutter 11b of the temporary storage unit 11 are fed to the transport path 18b by the feed stacking means 11a as shown in FIG. 5, and the transport path 18b to the transport path 18a in this order. It is conveyed and sent back to the customer service port 6.
[0037]
Thereby, the banknote 52g is collected together with the half-folded banknote 52a and the banknotes 52b, 52c, and 52i, and then returned to the customer.
At this time, it is good to display the customer operation part 20 that a half-folded banknote exists in the returned banknote, and to call attention to the customer.
The banknotes accumulated in the temporary storage unit 10 are deposited according to the same procedure as in the case of the normal deposit process.
[0038]
Of course, if the customer requests a return, it is sent back to the customer service port 6 and returned.
FIG. 6 is a side view showing another processing procedure when a half-folded banknote exists in a banknote inserted by the customer into the customer service port.
In this case, when a half-folded bill fed out from the customer service port 6 to the conveyance path 18a is detected and detected by the detection circuit 46, the control unit 32 stops the conveyance paths 18a and 18b, and then the control unit 32 switches the conveyance direction of conveyance path 18a, 18b to a reverse direction.
[0039]
As a result, the half-folded banknote 52a and the banknotes 52b, 52c, 52d, and 52e existing in the transport paths 18a and 18b are fed back and sent back to the customer service port 6, and are collected together with the banknotes 52i present in the service port 6. The
Further, a bill 52f in front of the feeding and accumulating means 10a of the temporary storage unit 10 is also sent back to the customer service port 6 and accumulated.
[0040]
Thereafter, processing is performed as described with reference to FIGS.
In the above-described embodiment, 10,000 tickets are stored in the deposit / withdrawal storage 3 and thousand tickets are stored in the deposit / withdrawal storage 4 as operation modes. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a thousand tickets may be stored in the deposit / withdrawal storage 3 and 10,000 tickets may be stored in the deposit / withdrawal storage 4. You may make it operate | move with 1 denomination by storing a ticket or a thousand ticket.
[0041]
Further, among the banknotes inserted into the customer service opening 6 by the customer at the time of deposit transaction, the banknote of 5,000 yen is stored in the reject banknote storage unit 9a of the reject storage 8 after the payment is confirmed. 7 may be stored in the reject banknote storage unit 17, and its operation form is arbitrary.
[0042]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the detecting means for detecting a half-folded banknote folded in the short direction among banknotes inserted into the service opening is provided from the service opening to the exit through the entrance of the discrimination section. And when the detecting means detects a half-folded banknote, at least the first transport path is stopped, and then the banknote transport direction of the first transport path is changed. Since the control means for controlling to reversely feed the banknotes in the first transport path including the half-folded banknotes back to the customer service port is provided, it was inserted into the customer service port during the deposit transaction. Even if there is a half-folded banknote in the banknote, it is possible to detect the half-folded banknote before it reaches the discrimination section and immediately return it to the customer service and return it. It is done.
[0043]
Further, since there is no need to provide a feeding means dedicated to half-folded bills as in the prior art, the structure becomes simple, and the half-folded bills are sent back to the customer service port immediately after the detecting means detects the half-folded bills. Therefore, the conveyance path length with a small arrangement pitch of the conveyance rollers for conveying the half-folded bills is shortened, and the number of rollers is reduced, so that the cost can be reduced.
