Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a component mounting device to cope quickly with the changeover of components in types and to completely correct the errors of units in supply stop position by a method wherein movable bodies which are separately movable and optionally positioned are provided to a component supply section. CONSTITUTION:At the mounting of components, a pair of movable bodies 4 mounted with required component supply units 5 correspondent to the components of a circuit board 9 is made to move on a guide plate 3 and positioned at the supply operation positions of component mounting means 7a and 7b, and either of the mounted supply units 5 is positioned corresponding to a component supply position A. In component mounting operation, when the stop position of the supply unit 5 deviates from the supply position A in a lateral or a longitudinal direction, the stop position of the movable body 4 is adjusted by a control section in a required direction so as to make the stop position of the supply unit 5 and the supply position A fully coincident with each other. When the changeover of the circuit boards 9 in type is carried out, the movable body 4 mounted with the former supply unit 5 is made to evacuate to a standby position and replaced with the movable body 4 on standby, whereby a component mounting device of this design can quickly cope with the changeover of components in types.

Conventional technology The fifth electronic component mounting machine that mounts electronic components onto a board
As shown in the figure, the plural mounting throats 21 are intermittently rotated around the vertical axis, the components are taken out at a predetermined component supply section iA of the component supply section 22, and the components are mounted on the board 23 at the component mounting position B. Such a rotating type component mounting apparatus is conventionally known as a component mounting apparatus capable of high-speed mounting. The component supply section 22 of this component mounting apparatus is connected to the mounting throat 21.
The stopping position at the rear of the turning path is defined as a parts supply position A, and a movable table 24 that can move in the tangential direction (X direction) with respect to the turning path is provided at this parts supply position A. A large number of component supply units 25 are mounted in parallel in the moving direction (X direction), and any component supply unit 25 can be positioned corresponding to the component supply position A. Further, the stopping position at the front of the rotation path of the mounting head 21 is defined as a component mounting position B, and an XY child table 6 movable in two horizontal directions (X direction and Y direction) that are perpendicular to each other is installed at this component mounting position B. is arranged, and the substrate 23 is fixed thereon.

However, in the component supply unit 22 of the component mounting apparatus as shown in FIG. 5, the component supply unit 25 is mounted on a single movable table 24, so if a component runs out, the component supply unit There is a problem that the component mounting operation has to be stopped while replacing part or all of the parts 25, resulting in poor mounting efficiency.

Therefore, as shown in FIG.
A component mounting apparatus has been proposed in which a large number of component supply units 25 of the same type are mounted on movable tables 31a and 31b, respectively. In this component mounting apparatus, components are supplied from one movable table 31a, and the components are supplied from the other movable table 31a.
By keeping standby standby, it is possible to continue component mounting without interruption for a long time by replacing the movable bases 31a and 31b when a component is out of stock.

Problem to be Solved by the Invention However, even in the component mounting apparatus shown in FIG. 6, when changing the type of board 23 on which components are mounted, the pair of movable stands 31a, 311) are required to correspond to the new type. There is a problem in that component mounting must be interrupted while all component supply units 25 are replaced, which is a very serious problem especially in the case of a mounting line that performs high-mix, low-volume production.

In order to solve this problem, it is possible to provide two or more pairs of movable tables, but this would increase the size of the equipment, which would increase costs, create problems in the configuration of the mounting line, and cause problems such as parts being out of stock. In this case, the operation for moving the desired movable base to the component supply operation position becomes complicated and takes a lot of time, resulting in problems such as the effectiveness being halved.

Therefore, if there is an error in the Y direction in the stop position of each component supply unit 25, there is a problem in that complicated position correction control is constantly required when positioning the XY child table 6.

Function: According to the component mounting apparatus of the present invention, parts may run out,
When changing the product type, it can be handled simply by moving the movable bodies that are in supply operation to the standby position, and also move the movable body that is equipped with the desired component supply unit among the movable bodies in standby to the supply operation position. At that time, both moving objects can move independently along arbitrary routes, so switching can be done in a short time by taking the shortest moving paths that do not interfere with each other, and even if the number of moving objects is increased, No complicated operation is required for the switching operation, and the switching does not take a long time. Furthermore, since each movable body can be arbitrarily positioned on a plane in two axial directions, it is possible to completely correct the error in the stop position of each component supply unit relative to the component supply position.

During the above two component mounting operations, if there is an error in the left-right direction or front-rear direction in the stop position of each component supply unit 5 with respect to the component supply position A, the stop position of each movable body 4 is controlled by a control (not shown). In addition, if any parts supply unit 5 runs out of parts, the movable body 4 on which the parts supply unit 5 is mounted is evacuated to the standby position, and at the same time the same parts supply unit 5 is mounted. The component mounting operation is restarted by moving the waiting moving body 4 to the supply operation position and replacing the parts. At this time, since each of the moving bodies 4 can move independently of each other along any desired movement route, the moving bodies 4 can be replaced quickly. In this way, the component mounting operation can be continued with only a short interruption, and the productivity of component mounting can be maintained at a high level. Furthermore, when changing the type of circuit board 9, it is possible to quickly respond by performing a similar switching operation.

Furthermore, the switching operation of the moving body 4 does not require a complicated operation;
Since the switching operation can be performed in a short time, it does not take a long time to switch even if there are a large number of moving objects 4, and it is suitable for component mounting lines for high-mix, low-volume production that frequently change a large number of products. By doing so, you can achieve great results.

Effects of the Invention According to the component mounting apparatus of the present invention, as is clear from the above description, the component supply units can each independently move along any desired path on a fixed plane and be positioned at any desired position. A plurality of movable bodies are provided, and a component supply unit is mounted on each of these movable bodies. Therefore, when a component runs out or when changing products, the movable body that is in supply operation is moved to the standby position, and The problem can be solved simply by moving the waiting moving body that is equipped with the desired parts supply unit to the supply operation position, and at that time, both moving bodies move independently through arbitrary routes. Therefore, switching can be done in a short time by following the shortest moving path that does not interfere with each other, and by shortening the mounting interruption time, it is possible to increase the productivity of component mounting.Furthermore, even if there are a large number of moving objects, switching can be performed easily. It does not require complicated movements and can be switched in a short time even if many moving objects are installed, so it can be applied extremely effectively to mounting lines for high-mix, low-volume production. Since the positioning can be performed arbitrarily in two axial directions, it is possible to completely correct the error in the stop position of each component supply unit relative to the component supply position, resulting in great effects.

In a component mounting apparatus equipped with a component supply section and a mounting means for taking out a component and mounting it on a member to be mounted at a predetermined component supply position of the component supply section, each component is mounted independently on a fixed plane in the component supply section. A plurality of movable bodies that can be moved along any route and positioned at any position are provided, and a component supply unit is mounted on each of these movable bodies, and one of the mounted component supply units is set to a predetermined position. A component mounting apparatus characterized in that a movable body is moved between a supply operation position corresponding to a component supply position and an arbitrary standby position appropriately separated from the supply operation position.
