Generally, in linear probes, beam convergence is achieved by driving multiple piezoelectric elements arranged in the scanning direction with a predetermined delay, but due to size limitations, many piezoelectric In order to improve the beam in the thickness direction, that is, in the short axis direction, where it is difficult to arrange elements in parallel, it is possible to improve the beam in the thickness direction, or by controlling the aperture in the thickness direction, or by controlling the aperture and weighting the radiated sound pressure by area.

In this example, the element 1 is sub-diced in the scanning direction S and divided into five parts in the thickness direction W. Each element group 2 consisting of three elements 7.7.7 divided in the thickness direction W is attached with a flexible printed board 4 for driving the element group 2. For example, the central element The aperture is controlled by driving only the group 2, by driving the element groups 2 located on the left and right thereof, or by driving the element groups 2 located on the right and left thereof together. On the other hand, FIG. 11 shows a case where aperture control in the thickness direction W and radiated sound pressure weighting based on area are performed, so that each element 7, 7, etc. in the element group 2 can be individually driven. Flexible printed board 4.4.
...Wiring will be done. In this example using the piezoelectric element 1 divided into seven parts in the thickness direction W, the aperture control is performed by selecting a large aperture state and a small aperture state, as shown in FIG. , the elements 7.7... shown with hunting are driven all the time, and the elements 7.7.- marked with circles are driven only when the opening is large. The radiated sound pressure is weighted by reducing the number of elements 7.

That is, (a) When the number of divisions in the thickness direction W increases, the number of flexible printed boards 4 corresponding to the number of divided piezoelectric elements 1 is required, resulting in an enormous number of manufacturing steps. (b) In order to control the opening, it is necessary to wire each flexible printed board 4 behind the backing 10 as shown in FIG. The wiring between the probes becomes complicated, and the probe itself becomes large due to the wiring. (c) When performing aperture control and weighting, it is necessary to drive each element 7 separately, so a signal pattern is formed that allows each element 7 in the flexible printed board 4 to be selected. It is necessary to
Since the flexible printed board 4 has the same number of elements as the 7 elements divided in the thickness direction W, the wiring becomes very complicated. The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and an object of the present invention is to provide an ultrasonic probe in which the number of flexible printed boards 4 can be reduced and wiring work is easy. [Means for Solving the Problems] According to the present invention, the above object is achieved by at least each element group 2 formed by dividing the piezoelectric element 1 in the thickness direction W, as shown in FIG. In the ultrasonic probe that can be driven, a flexible signal line pattern 8 is formed at the boundary between the adjacent element groups 2 and has a connecting terminal portion 3 corresponding to the element 7 constituting each element group 2. This is achieved by arranging a printed board 4 and providing an ultrasonic probe in which the connecting terminal portion 3 of the flexible printed board 4 is joined to the electrode 5 of each element 7. In addition, in this case, as shown in FIG. 3, the flexible printed board 4 is formed with signal line grooves 8 on both sides,
It is also possible to form a multilayer structure by forming a shield base 6 in the center, and furthermore, as shown in FIG. 8, a signal line pattern 8 corresponding to the adjacent element 7 is formed on one side of the flexible printed board 4, It is also possible to divide the tip of the flexible printed board 4 and connect the connecting terminal portion 3 to the electrode 5 of each element 7. In addition, the signal line pattern 8 on the flexible printed board 4
It is also possible to connect each upper part of the element 7 to be driven at the same time.

Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the present invention, which is configured to perform aperture adjustment and weighting. The element group 2 is an element obtained by dividing into seven in the thickness direction W, and five elements 7, 7, . . . arranged in the scanning direction S constitute an element group 2. Therefore, in this embodiment, element group 2 of the 7 groups
.. The element group 2 located at both ends is each attached with one flexible printed board 4, and the element group 2 located at the middle part is equipped with two flexible printed boards 4. One flexible printed board 4 is attached to each group. FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the flexible printed board 4 installed between the element groups 2 located in the middle, and 9 in the figure is a notch for the piezoelectric element l. The flexible printed board 4 is formed by joining two wiring pattern layers via the shield base 6, and is arranged along the notch 9, with the lower ends of the flexible printed board 4 facing away from each other. It is fixed by connecting the connecting terminal part 3 formed by bending in the direction shown in FIG. The wiring pattern 8 of this flexible printed board 4 is made common or mutually connected in consideration of the mutual relationship of the elements 7 to which each connection terminal portion 3 corresponds, and in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. First, a flexible printed board FPC with one wiring pattern 8 is shown.
Flexible printed boards FPC2 and FPC4 including FPC3, FPC5, and a plurality of wiring patterns 8 are manufactured. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the flexible printed board FPC2 includes an element A3 that is constantly driven.
, B2, B3, and B4 are connected to the fifth wiring pattern 8.
As shown in the figure, the wiring patterns 8 connected to elements A2, A4, B1, and B5, which are driven only at Ozekiguchi, are also connected to one pattern using through holes 11, making a total of 2 patterns. Two patterns are realized on the flexible printed board 4. In FIG. 4, the element 7 that is driven all the time is hatched, and the element 7 that is driven only when the opening is wide is marked with a circle in the center. 6 and 7 show a second embodiment of the present invention, in which a flexible printed board 4 has two wiring patterns 8 joined via a shield foil 6, similar to the embodiment described above. However, both wiring patterns 8 are formed so that they do not overlap at their tips, and as shown in FIG.
A connection is made to. FIG. 8 shows a third embodiment of the present invention, in which the wiring pattern 8 of the flexible printed board 4 is formed within the same plane and is contained within the width of one element in the scanning direction S. There is. Further, the flexible printed board 4 is divided at the tip, and after each pattern is bent to the opposite side, it is connected to the adjacent element 7, respectively. In this case, it is desirable to provide a notch in the bent portion of the flexible printed board 4. Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, according to the ultrasonic probe according to the present invention, the number of flexible printed boards used can be reduced, and multi-H signal lines can be processed using flexible printing. It can be processed inside the board.
