Abstract

PURPOSE:To enlarge the width and the interval of the conducting path of a printed board and to improve workability by providing plural rectangular piezoelectric pieces in which an electrode is formed on both main surfaces and which is arranged in a width direction and a flexible printed board and deriving alternately the electrode of one side main surface of the rectangular piezoelectric pieces from both edge parts. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of printed boards 9 and 10, first and second conducting paths 11 and 12 to extend in parallel at an equal interval from one edge side respectively are formed, and the conducting paths 11 and 12 are mutually dislocated and arranged. The conducting path 11 is connected to an electrode 4a of an odd number piezoelectric piece 1 and the conducting path 12 is connected to that of an even number piezoelectric piece 1 respectively at the edge part by soldering. Onto the main surface of the piezoelectric piece 1, a lead wire is fitted, and an electrode 4b is commonly connected. On one side main surface, an acoustic matching layer is coated. Consequently, since such an ultrasonic probe, while the electrode deriving is of the printed boards 9 and 10, is alternately derived from both edge parts of plural piezoelectric pieces 1, the width of the conducting paths 11 and 12 can be enlarged, the connection with an external circuit can be facilitated and the workability can be improved.
