Abstract

PURPOSE:To develop uses by blending sludge with quick lime while stirring, dehydrating and sterilizing the sludge, grinding and then separating into granular sludge and powdery sludge. CONSTITUTION:Sludge and quick lime are fed to a case 3 of a sludge stirrer 1, agitated by rotating a stirring arm 7 equipped with stirring blades 8, water in the sludge is absorbed in the quick lime, evaporated water is discharged from an exhaust vent 11 and the sludge dehydrated and sterilized in the case 3 is taken out from a sludge output 13. The dried sludge is fed to a hopper 14 of a sludge grinding and separating machine 2 and the dried sludge dropped from the hopper 14 through a net 20 is ground between a scraper 18 attached to a revolving shaft 17 positioned downward and a scraper guide 19. A rotatable fractionating net column 21 having coarse mesh and a fractionating net column 22 having fine meshes are doubly equipped at the outside of a screw 16 of the revolving shaft 17 and the fractionated sludge is taken out from a sludge outlet 26 to remove granular sludge as powdery sludge or granular sludge.
