However, the bag knitted fabric that can be knitted using a flat knitting machine using the above-mentioned known knitting method is limited to a flat bag knitted fabric in which only the front stitches are exposed on the front side of the knitted fabric. This can only be achieved by knitting using knitting needles on the front and rear needle beds of the machine.
It is impossible to knit a links-pattern knitted fabric in which front stitches and back stitches appear regularly alternately, or rib knitted fabrics in which front stitches and back stitches are arranged alternately in the course direction, in a cylindrical shape. Ta.

In other words, in the conventional method, each tubular rib knitted fabric has no choice but to be knitted into two flat strips, so knitting needles on both needle beds are used to knit one strip into flat ribs. Once knitted, hold it on every other knitting needle on one needle bed, then use both needle beds to flatten rib knit the other strip, then knit it on every other knitting needle on the other needle bed. The two strips are held on the knitting needles, and then the flat bag knitting course is knitted following these two strips. After the knitting of all the knitted fabrics is finished and the knitted fabrics are removed from the knitting machine, the two strips are knitted. It has been proposed to obtain the cylindrical rib knitted fabric required for the sleeve and torso parts by sewing them together into a cylindrical shape.

This invention has been described above with reference to embodiments, but
The method for knitting a bag knitted fabric according to the present invention is that when knitting an arbitrary course using a flat knitting machine having front and rear needle beds, the knitting needles on either the front or rear needle beds are knitted before knitting the course. The stitches for forming the facing stitches on the other side of the needle bed are transferred to the knitting needles for forming the back stitches on which the stitches on the needle bed on the other side have not yet been knitted. By transferring the stitches formed with the knitting needles to the knitting needles for forming the front stitches on one side of the needle bed, the stitches are expressed as back stitches on the front side of the bag knitted fabric. By performing this knitting method in a required knitting course, any stitch of the bag knitted fabric can be arbitrarily made into a front stitch or a back stitch.
