  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 テープ状の印刷対象物に印刷を行う印刷装置に
    おいて、 その印刷対象物を装着するテープ装着部と、 テープ装着部に配設され、印刷対象物のテープ
    幅を検出する検出手段と、 その検出手段からの信号に基づいて、印刷対象
    物のテープ幅に応じて、そのテープ幅が広い場合
    には印刷する文字を大きくし、狭い場合には印刷
    する文字を小さくする印刷コントロール手段を備
    えたことを特徴とする印刷装置。
