Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a small-sized low cost page turning-over mechanism reduced in the number of parts by forming the tubular part transmitting suction force to a suction pad from a flexible substance and using the free shaking properties of the flexible substance. CONSTITUTION:A long suction pad 2 is mounted on a slide block 3 through a tubular member 3 and the material quality thereof is composed of a flexible substance. At first, the suction pad 2 sucks the page of a passbook 1. Thereafter, a pad carrier 5 is operated in the direction shown by an arrow X and a slide block 4 is operated downwardly in the direction shown by an arrow Z. By this operation, the suction pad 2 is brought into contact with the page under pressure and curved at its intermediate part centering around the end part of the pad 2 and the angle required in the release of the page to be turned over from the other page can be ensured. When the whole of the mechanism reaches a predetermined position, a pump is brought to an OFF-state. Thereafter, the whole of the mechanism is moved to the highest position at the central part of a guide shaft. By feeding the passbook in the direction of a paper guide not shown in a drawing from this state, page turning-over operation is completed.
