Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a positive and complete combustion of refuse and perform a discharging of generated ash out of an ash discharging port by a method wherein a ribbon screw for use in transporting refuse and ash is rotatably arranged between a refuse feeding hopper installed at one end of an incinerator and an ash discharging port arranged at a grid at the other end of the incinerator along the upper surface of the grid. CONSTITUTION:In this type of refuse incinerator, refuse G supplied into a hopper 2 is fed onto a grid 3 under rotation of a screw feeder 7, where the refuse G is transported toward an ash discharging port 4 while being released under rotation of a ribbon screw 5 and then the refuse is ignited with both burners 17 and 18. The ash generated as a result of combustion is discharged out of the ash discharging port 4 with the ribbon screw 5, the exhaust gas ascends and then is discharged out of a gas outlet 22. If the refuse G is of such a size as one enabling them to pass through the screw feeder 7 and the ribbon screw 5, even if the refuse G is of some blocks, the refuse G is ignited while being released on the grid 3 under rotation of the ribbon screw 5, so that a positive and complete combustion of the refuse can be attained.
