従来の釣竿等の管状体は、ガラス繊維、炭素繊
維等からなる引揃シート又は織布に熱硬化性合成
樹脂を含浸せしめたプリプレグを管状に捲回して
形成しているが、使用している間に周面に発生し
たクラツクが大きくなり、これに水分等が浸入し

面に溶剤に混合したウイスカー4を塗布したり、
ウイスカー4を電気植毛したり、吹付けたりして
ウイスカー層3を形成する方式(第6図参照)
等、プリプレグ1とは別個にウイスカー層3を形

撃性等を向上できることは勿論であるが、特にウ
イスカーを管状体の全体に分散せずにプリプレグ
層間に層状に高密度で積層せしめたことによつて
個々のウイスカー同士が絡み合つて小量のウイス
カーで効率良くその特性を利用して管状体の強
度、弾性、耐摩耗性、耐衝撃性を増強できると共
に管状体の軽量化も図ることができる優れた特徴
