Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は釣竿等の管状体の改良に関する。
従来の釣竿等の管状体はガラス繊維、炭素繊維
等からなる補強繊維シートに熱硬化性合成樹脂を
含浸して形成したプリプレグを捲回硬化して構成
されているが、使用している間に周面に発生した
クラツクが大きくなり、これに水分等が浸入し遂
には層間剥離現象を起す欠陥がある。
本発明は従来の釣竿等におけるこのような欠陥
を防止すると共に強度を向上するようにしたもの
で、ウイスカーを混合した熱硬化性合成樹脂を含
浸させたプリプレグを捲回硬化して形成したこと
を要旨とするものである。
本発明実施例を説明すると、ガラス繊維、炭素
繊維、ボロン繊維等の長繊維からなる織布、引揃
シート、不織布で形成された補強繊維シート1に
ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂等の熱硬化性樹
脂2を含浸せしめて半乾燥状態のプリプレグ3を
形成し、該プリプレグを捲回熱硬化処理して釣竿
の管状体4を構成するに当り、前記熱硬化性樹脂
2にウイスカー(ひげ結晶)5を混合したもので
ある。
前記ウイスカー(ひげ結晶)としては炭化珪
素、炭化硼素、サフアイヤ、ベリリヤ等のセラミ
ツクス系のものと銅、鉄、ニツケル等の金属系の
ものとがあり、その大きさは径0.1〜1.0μ長さ50
〜200μ程度のものを使用する。
またこれらウイスカー5の熱硬化性樹脂2に対
する混合量は体積比で5〜30%、好ましくは特に
20%前後が好適である。
しかして本発明におけるウイスカーを混合した
プリプレグ3とは釣竿等の管状体を構成する全て
のプリプレグの意味だけでなく、一部のプリプレ
グの場合も意味するものであり、従つて第2図イ
の如く織布からなる補強繊維シートにウイスカー
を混合した熱硬化性合成樹脂を含浸せしめた一枚
のプリプレグ3で管状体を構成しても或は第2図
ロの如く繊維引揃シートからなる補強繊維シート
に単に熱硬化性合成樹脂を含浸せしめたプリプレ
グ3´にスクリムシートにウイスカーを混合した
熱硬化性樹脂を含浸せしめた同形又は小形のプリ
プレグ3を重合したもので管状体を構成すること
もでき、更に熱硬化処理は常法と異ることろがな
い。
本発明は上記のようにプリプレグを構成する熱
硬化性合成樹脂にウイスカーを混合したので、釣
竿等の管状体の曲げ強度、曲げ弾性、つぶし強度
を増強できると共に表面硬度が高くなり、耐摩
性、耐衝撃性を向上して従来のようなクラツクの
発生を確実に防止することができ、しかもウイス
カーの混合量の調整によつて釣竿の調子も任意に
調節することができる。
次に補強繊維にガラス繊維と炭素繊維を使用し
た管状体(抹10.0mmプライス数5、含浸合成樹
脂、エポキシ樹脂)に炭化硅素ウイスカー20%を
混合した本発明と混合しない従来のものとの強度
実験(2点支持、2点荷重の4点曲げテスト、ス
パン500mm、ヘツド降下速度25mm/Sec)を行つ
た結果は次表の通りである。
