The shape of an automobile's filler pipe is largely regulated depending on the vehicle body structure and the mounting location of the fuel tank. For example, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52-36891, when a filler pipe is installed in the gap extending vertically between the vehicle body and outer panels, the vicinity of the filler port is bent greatly, and therefore, the fuel gun A problem arises in that more fuel discharged directly hits the inner wall of the filler pipe, and the fuel blows back toward the injection port. In order to prevent this, high-speed fuel injection is stopped and the speed is reduced, which increases injection work time and leads to a decrease in sales due to decreased work efficiency. Further, a typical refueling gun is equipped with an automatic fuel stop device, and has an automatic stop port opened at the tip of the gun, which detects when the fuel stops automatically by a change in negative pressure. For this reason, if the refueling gun is inserted too far into the filler pipe, the automatic stop port will reach below the full liquid level of the fuel tank, causing a problem in which it will not be possible to fully fill the fuel tank. . In order to solve this problem, it is possible to attach a receiving metal fitting 1 and a rope 2, such as those disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 58-86726, to the tip of the stopper member 3, as shown in FIG. However, in this case, the fuel injected at high speed is subjected to resistance due to being directly injected onto the receiving fitting 1 and the rope 2, and the fuel tends to blow back toward the injection port side.

The full amount of fuel injected into the fuel gun inserted into the injection port is regulated by the vertical position of the automatic stop port at the tip of the gun. Therefore, it is necessary to reliably open the vehicle stop port and to correctly regulate the vertical position of the tip of the refueling gun. Furthermore, in order to prevent the injected fuel from blowing back, it is necessary to correctly regulate the direction of fuel injection, and it is also necessary to prevent inflow resistance caused by a position regulating metal fitting at the tip of the refueling gun. The object of the present invention is to provide an automobile filler pipe that can solve the above-mentioned problems.

It connects the filler pipe connection port 12 and the inlet 13 of the fuel tank 10, and the inlet 1
A substantially cylindrical guide member 15 is attached to the inner wall 14 of the filler pipe near the filler pipe 1.
A curved wall 17 is formed to narrow the internal space 16 from the third side toward the fuel tank 10 side, and the end of the curved wall 17 on the fuel tank 10 side has an inner diameter d smaller than the outer diameter D of the tip of the refueling gun 18 (see Fig. 3). The guide member 15 positions the fuel gun 18 so that the fuel injection direction of the fuel gun 18 faces the filler pipe connection port 12. In particular, the stopper portion 19 at the fuel tank side end of the guide member 15 is formed to have a bead 29 projecting inward of the curved portion 17 (see FIG. 3). Moreover, at the end of this fuel tank,
A notch 11 is formed extending from this point toward the injection port (see FIG. 3).

A fuel tank 10 to which a filler pipe (hereinafter simply referred to as filler pipe) 20 of an automobile is connected is as follows:
As shown in FIG. 2, a loading platform 22 of a light truck 21
It is installed in the lower space of. The distance H between the fuel tank 10 and the loading platform 22 is relatively small, and the fuel tank 10
The inlet 13 of the filler pipe 20, which extends further, is arranged close to the lower surface of the loading platform 22. Therefore, the height difference between the full liquid level A of the fuel tank 10 and the injection port 13 is relatively small. filler pipe 20
A filler hose 24 is fitted onto a filler pipe connecting portion 102 formed on a side wall 101 of the fuel tank 10 and is fixed by a clamper 23.
and a steel filler pipe body (hereinafter simply referred to as pipe body) 26 which is inserted into the other end of this hose and fixed to the clamper 25. The injection port 13 at the upper end of the pipe body 26 is formed by an annular holder 27 . This receiver 27 has its inner end bent, and a filler cap (not shown) can be locked to a hook part (not shown) formed on the bent part 27. Pipe body 26
An injection side joint piece 151 of a substantially cylindrical guide member 15 is welded to the inner wall 14 of the guide member 15.
Similarly, the fuel tank side joint piece 152 is also attached to the inner wall 14.
be welded to. The guide member 15 is a sheet metal object,
It is formed by curving a sheet metal into a tapered cylindrical shape. That is, the inner wall of the guide member is formed as a curved wall 17. The inlet side end of the guide member 15 has a substantially annular cross-sectional shape as shown in FIG. 4, and the fuel tank side end has an annular cross-sectional shape with a cutout 11 on the lower side as shown in FIG. In the longitudinal direction, this guide member 15 is formed such that the inlet side half is formed into an almost completely tapered cylindrical shape, the fuel tank side half is formed into a tapered cylindrical shape with a notched lower part, and the upper part is formed uniformly throughout the longitudinal direction. It has a curved plate shape. Therefore, the inner diameter d 1 on the inlet side
The inner diameter d on the fuel tank side is smaller than the curved wall 1 which is the inner wall of the guide member 15.
An internal space 28 surrounded by 7 is formed so that its volume gradually narrows from the injection port side toward the fuel tank side. As shown in FIG. 3, a pair of beads 29 facing each other are formed at the fuel tank side end of the curved wall 17 of the guide member.
d 2 is further smaller than the inner diameter d. In this way, by setting d and d2 smaller than the outer diameter D of the tip of the refueling gun 18, these parts are
is formed as. When the refueling gun 18 is inserted into such a guide member 17 from the injection port 13 side,
The tip of the refueling gun 18 is locked in the stopper part 19, and the automatic stop port 1 of the refueling gun 18 at this position
The position of 81 and the full liquid level A of the fuel tank 10 are formed so as to approximately coincide with each other. Furthermore, refueling gun 1
8 has its tip portion locked by the stopper portion 19 and at the same time its middle abuts against the receiver 27 of the pipe body,
Thereby, the refueling gun 18 is cantilever-supported by the pipe body 26. In this way, the pipe body 26 supports the refueling gun 18 at the refueling position, but at this time, the fuel injection direction is the direction shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG.
It is formed so as to face the center of the filler pipe connection port 12 formed in the connection part 102.

When injecting fuel into such a filler pipe 20, the injection port 13 is opened and the fuel gun 18 is inserted. The refueling gun 18 is positioned at the refueling position. This allows the fuel to be injected at high speed to the filler pipe connection port 1.

Then, when the fuel reaches the full liquid level A, the automatic stop port 181 of the refueling gun is closed, and fuel injection is stopped.

As described above, the filler pipe 20 according to the present invention allows the fuel injected at high speed from the fuel gun 18 to flow into the fuel tank 10 without directly hitting the inner wall 14 of the filler pipe. Furthermore, there is no member that directly crosses the fuel flow injected from the fuel gun and causes inflow resistance, and it is possible to reliably prevent fuel from blowing back toward the injection port 13 side. Furthermore, since the stopper portion 19 correctly regulates the vertical position of the tip of the fueling gun, a full amount of injected fuel is reliably supplied. Furthermore, since the notch 11 is formed in the guide member, the automatic stop port 181 is reliably opened, and it is possible to prevent malfunctions in which fuel is splashed by the guide member when fuel is injected and this blocks the automatic stop port 181. Further, when the guide member 15 is formed of sheet metal into a substantially cylindrical shape, it has a solid structure and has sufficient durability against excessive input when inserting the refueling gun.
